TAO Board Game

Since I haven't been able to get on much lately, I made a board game of TAO.
Truth is, this board game has REALLY helped my game play. If you aren't too lazy, you should give it a try. It was actually fun to play around in making this, I also have charts on all the units attack, movement, blocking, etc.
(Granted, I did this at about 1 in the morning when I didn't have much else to do. :P)
If you all want the specs on it, I can get 'em to ya'.

That's a great concept! TAO to go with no internet required! The only problem is calculating the LoS, armor, and other luck-based factors.

Not a problem.
Printed out charts with all of that information, as for LOS, I can apply that easily due to knowledge. :)

Well, it depends.
You have to do alot of work to find all the ways to get the percentages, but dice usually work, except with the Furgon. I usually use a Quarter.

Love it...just love it, although you'd have to keep track of damage, like knowing what damage is done to every stoned unit...

Again, charts.
To keep track, I just rip a piece of paper in half, give one to my opponent or just keep them as one, but split it with a line down the middle when playing myself.

Ehh... I've been doing this for about half a year now, but I must admit... it's not as high tech as yours... ;)

I always just drew out in pen the board, and wrote in pencil the units. I had all of the damage charts either printed out or wroten out and just carried them around with the peice of paper when I wanted to use it. If I could find my camera, I'd show you guys a pick (of how much more low detailed it is comparetivaly ;)) of it. Anyways, you know what they say... great minds think alike! ;) :rolleyes:

Aye, I too used to do that, but I became tired VERY quickly of having to erase and redraw.
It was just too annoying.

I made more Quad boards to play 4 player matches, capture the flag, protect the president, etc.
I'll post pictures of those later when I have more time. Right now, I'm making the instructions to making this.

Nice. I'd thought about this before, but I was far too lazy to go through with it. Plus I'm not sure how many people I know I could get to play me.. (edit: not because I'm great, because my friends aren't into this kind of thing.)

Edit 2: Now that the game has blocking adjustments built in, are you going to incorporate these somehow? I don't see them as being necessary, because the whole point was to basically correct the pseudo-randomness of the computer's flawed random number generator, but without them it's a bit of a different game.

Amazing, Great Job Duo! I thought of making something like this myself but then gave up when I had to right down all the LoS and Blocking. lol. But since DarkMethod Gl, Eagle24, and Franchise live down the street from me. If we make this game, we could actually have a challenge instead of teaching some1 from scratch.

ive done that 2, but when i do it my friends stare at me with that look that im a psycho, so i rip up the board and throw it in the spanish classroom's trashcan.

Also it could be like greys have gold units..lol.. and u can use CAU ideas!
