We have abandoned this clan for multiple reasons.
1) we love Knights of the Round
2) It would become too much work to maintain
3) Recruiting has become difficult due to so many players being attached to clans already.
We are a Mafia themed clan out to have some fun! Our website is www.freewebs.com/thecrimesyndicate and our forums are linked though the site.
Our clan was created in hopes of making a very fun interactive clan. However, we do expect our members to adhere to certain ethics and maturity. We also wanted our clan to have a system were member could get higher positions in the clan. The position ranks are the following in order of highest to lowest: Don-Underboss-Consigliere-Capo-Soldier-Hustler-Associate Members may advance though the ranks over time. Further information on this subject may be found in the forums. We believe stongly in friendly competition, and host monthly in-clan tournaments, promotion and demotion of positions, Contract hits, training sessions, clan wars and more.
How to join.
-Although skill isn't everything, it does help to be an adept player. BUT, we not only look for skill, but also personality and attitude. This means that even if you're a great player but you're an ass, you won't get in.
-By posting an application in our clans forums (http://www.yabbers.com/phpbb/index.php?mforum=crimesyndicate) does not make you a member of CS! You must first be approved by a Consigliere or someone of higher rank before you can get into Crime Syndicate.
-Only ONE application will be permitted per person. Loyalty is a quality that we find very important in our members. If you get into CS and decide you want to leave; that's it. You will not be able to re-apply (exceptions can be made, such as an apporved temporary leave.)
Developmental stage
We are still developing our clan so please be patient. Suggestions are welcomed.

Don inked,
it is my priviledge to welcome you in the name of all families of Great Lakes, Armageddon, Banff and Revelation.
I hope that we can reason together and find an arrangement, so that we can all benefit from this situation.
But i have to make sure that your interests don't conflict with mine.
I am known as a reasonable man and i believe the stat business is gonna destroy us in the years to come. I mean, it's not like gambling or bribing mods -- even women -- which is something that most people want nowadays, and is forbidden to them by the pezzonovante of the administration. Even the bribed mods, that've helped us in the past with gambling and other things, are gonna refuse to help us when it comes to stat business.
So here is my offer, which you cannot refuse:
As godfather of your family - it is your duty to make sure your soldiers don't get active in this infamia.
I'm a superstitious man -- and if some unlucky incident should occur -- then I'm going to blame some of the people in this thread. That, I do not forgive.

Don of TAO,
You bring up a great point. I believe there can be a lot of respect earned though stats, but it is a dirty business. I have come here to tell you that we are going to get rid of our stat requirements all together, and make an anti-1337 clan. We, as a family, will recruit based on respect, personality, and loyalty. We also would like to welcome any member of the Tactics Arena community to post in our forums, threads and bear the title as Associate. As an associate all we ask is not to talk disrespectfully, and to enjoy yourself. If you have the personality we would be honored to let your banff account, even if it is a gray, into our clan. Feel free to register at our forums and help us get on our feet.

Update: In clan crews added.
I believe it was Alpha_Wolf who asked if we should make crews inside the clan. I think that it would be a fun addition to have player run fractions inside the main clan. Like political parties, and the crew in power would have controlling interest in clan matters.
Now, here is my idea.
Overview
Any member ranked Capo or higher may found their own crew. A Crew leader would be responsible for managing his own board in the forum, recruiting members into joining his crew, writing crew rules and participating in votes and elections and more. Members of the clan would not be required to join a crew, may leave their crew at anytime, and may join another crew . Since crews would be independently run, the requirements for joining a crew would be up to the crew leader.
The Power of a Crew
A crews leader writes the rules of his crew, therefore he has lots of power as long as he has support. A crew leader may write rules to force his members to vote a certain way, have stat requirements, have certain slogans or images in their forum signature, have his members pay him forum dollars, and much more. A crew leader may also declare war on another crew.
Crew Wars
These will work like clan wars, but the victor raids $2000 of the losing crews forum funds. A crew can only declare war once a month. A crew leader may bribe other members to support them in a crew war.
Starting and Maintaining a Crew
You must be a minimum rank of Capo and have at least 1000 forum dollars. It is the duty of the crew leader to gain followers ( Hint - finding followers before founding and having them invest forum dollars into your gang). To run a successful crew you will need it to have lots of support and funds. Without support and funds your crew will not be able to advertise very well for elections and other issues.
Moderating your crews board
It is the responsibility of the crews leader to moderate and post rules in his crews board. If a crews board is obviously poorly moderated and out of hand, the clan Underbosses, both Underbosses must consider the board poorly managed, may force the crew to hold elections for crew leadership.
Editted: Name changed from gangs to crews.

Update: Position rankings added.
The position rankings are the following listed highest to lowest:
Don
Underboss
Consigliere
Capo
Soldier
Hustler
Associate
How do you become different positions?
Everyone who wants to be associated with the clan is an Associate.
Members that have been accepted into the clan are Hustlers.
A Capo may appoint a Hustler to become a Soldier.
An Underboss may appoint a Soldier to become a Capo.
To become an Underboss you must be elected† by Capo’s in an election held after a change of Don election. There are only two Underbosses at a time. They have the most secure position in the clan.
The only way to become Don is to be an Underboss and have an election called for a change of Dons. If an overwhelming amount of Capo’s and crew members, or both Underbosses want a change of Don, then an election will be held with the nominee’s being the Underbosses and the current Don. The winner of the election becomes Don†. If the Don was overthrown he and his Consigliere becomes Capos. The new Don appoints a Consigliere, and the Capos elect a new Underboss. If the Don was not overthrown then the Underbosses become Capos and Elections for Underboss begin.
†: In the event of a tie, and one of the tied nominees is an incumbent, the incumbent wins.
What is the point of being different positions?
Associate - They are permitted to post in our forums and in our thread in the tacticsarena.com/forum.
Hustler - They are members of the clan in-game and are permitted to post in our forums and in our thread in the tacticsarena.com/forum.
Soldier - They are members of the clan in-game, are permitted to post in our forums and in our thread in the tacticsarena.com/forum, and have the ability to be promoted to Capo. Soldiers also may join crews, and participate in crew and clan wars.
Capo - They are members of the clan in-game, are permitted to post in our forums and in our thread in the tacticsarena.com/forum, and have the ability to be elected to Underboss. Capos may found crews, declare and participate in crew warfare and participate in clan wars.
Consigliere - He is a member of the clan in-game, is permitted to post in our forums and in our thread in the tacticsarena.com/forum. The Consigliere also may join crews, and participate in crew and clan wars. The Consigliere also approves of applications to join the clan and may declare clan war.
Underboss - They are members of the clan in-game, are permitted to post in our forums and in our thread in the tacticsarena.com/forum, and have the ability to be elected to Don. Underbosses may found crews, declare and participate in crew warfare and participate in clan wars. They may also appoint Soldiers to become Capos.
Don - He is a member of the clan in-game, is permitted to post in our forums and in our thread in the tacticsarena.com/forum, and has the ability to demote Capos to Soldiers, and demote the Consigliere to Capo and reappoint a Capo as Consigliere. The Don may found crews, declare and participate in crew warfare and participate in clan wars. In the event that the clan falls apart, it is the Dons responsibility to rebuild it.
Unfortunatly I already have a negitive additude, name of the most annoying group of players on my WoW server, gl though
