everyone's heard of the Guinness world records right? well maybe the mods, vets or administrators can come up with all-time records for the servers and forums! those who break the records will have their names put in the place of the previous record-holders, and there can be awards, like maybe an extra unit for a server record, or rep for a forum record.
anyway, that was a bit spontaineous, because i have to leave now and wanted to get that out before i left and forgot about it... but that would be cool to see.

You mean just add more to the stats and rep/post systems? Meh, not really the best idea. I mean, rep is pointless, we all know Jeff has the most posts, and there's already the top 100s.

You can't give out units to people holding records cuz it changes daily. :p

those were just suggestions... maybe rewards of a different type. what do you all think?

But what would the records and rewards be? Be specific.

The suggestion has been made a few times. In the end it comes down to the administrators being unwilling to keep an updated section of the site for such things.

Why not just make a sticky on the forums?

But I thought we didn;t have any mods left? Who would do such things.

actually, thats a stupid comparison, as a record would logically be based on a quantifiable feat, not some idiotic number.

But then again what exactly would you have a record of? Highest stats....and...thats it?

you could have a record for the quickest battle, the longest battle, the battle that someone beat against all odds, a record for longest winning streak, losing streak, and whatever else people think of.
the rewards would vary depending on the record broken, and by how much. say maybe for beating the winning streak you get another unit, or for gold members (like austin powers) you get an upgraded unit. if someone beats your record, you lose your reward to the person that beat you.

This is a good idea and would make a nice addition to the game. However, as others have pointed out, it is probably not going to happen for a variety of reasons. Two records that I would like to see posted are Lucky Bastard and Tough as Nails for the person who wins with the luckiest blocks and the winner with blocking going against them.
