Can we get an adjustment on the avatars sizing?

I have a lot of really good ones I like, and I'm a diva about these things.
Yay that they let us load animated ones again..but stop shrinking them (or let it link them). I have a good dozen animated ones I am actively using on other forums, but none of them are usable here.

If you load one from your comp, it resizes it (making it un-animated), and it'll simply say "the file is too big" if you try to link it.

=/

<-- this bear one is one example, the penguin one I had a bit ago is another
edit: nm the bear thing, changed it to something else

My animated avy's never seem to work, I guess the size was the problem if your right.

Anyways, I like the idea.

I'm in the same shoes as you Mega, I got some awsome ones, but the size is WAY to small. Lets get this fixed.

The animated avy I have now is all I need. :) Even if it is fast... But I understand what you mean, cuz I have others I could have used, but are too large.

Actually, it wouldn't be such a bad idea to set the size limit to 90x90 or 100x100. The file size limit should definitely be changed as well. Nice suggestion.

I really REALLY want this to go through. Please take of the 5 pixels or what ever, make it what ever it is, just resize it. Please?

Bump.

they can't resize animated ones man ;) thats the point

if you resize it in any shape or form (outside whatever system you used to actually make the .gif animation in the first place) it removes the animation

Yes, But I want it to just make the image smaller, but keep the animation. Get it?

Merdoc,

Animated avatars are .GIF right? The thing with that is when you try to resize it at all then save it as a .gif again it will have lost its actual animation.

I think on the TDP forums there is an option where you can say how big you want your avatar up to a certain size. I wonder if VB would do the same thing if the admins turned the option on.

Actually
if you have image ready, you can save it, then reload it up in that,
it will display all the frames, and then all you have to do is select all of them and make them smaller, or remove a frame or two... or reduce the quality

i had to with mine :p

*babump*

lax the damn avatar restrictions! Lets see an extention to 100x100 and 40kb!

I've got far too many to play around with on my comp, and I can use them everywhere but here.

I also think this is a good idea. I was just looking at animated avatars today and a lot of them were too big to use.
