Hi everyone. Round 2 is about to begin. Here are the brackets, but most of you probably already know who you have to play. You guys should all know the rules by now too, but if you have any dramas please PM me or post here. Here is a link to the rules thread:

Good luck with your games everyone and remember to post here with a s/s after your games. Also remember there are two different setups you are permitted to use, and it is the best out of 3 games.

yall are dead has withdrawn from the competition. I thought it unfair to install a substitute player in this late round, so I BEAT MATHEWS will go through to the next round. It is unfortunate that this has happened again, after MATHEWS passed the previous round after Cuathons withdrawl, however I can have no control over these events. Sorry all

default vs. default.. I was ahead by a unit, and then my witch got a lucky block which basically killed his scout.. so Bubo was right, I won with some luck.

We both played default, but he played reverse sides.

Match Strike vs. LonelyTylenol, part 1 = LonelyTylenol.

We both played non-default, got opp-sides. He started beating up my Furgon and I started beating up his Mud... Neither of us made our mark, but he forced me to retreat my Furgon and I his Mud. I rushed by Beast Rider in and went in for a Scout and Frost after de-stoning, and got them both, one by using the BR and the other by Quaking his Scout and my BR to death. I was only one unit up, but in much better position to win, so he surrendered.

Yeah, gg. I didn't establish mey defenses early enough, and I thought I could recover from a destoning, but witha 17 health wisp unstoned and barrierd as the only way to stop a mud rampage, I was feeling kind of disadvantaged. If I can get on later we'll try and get that game (games?) in.

Alright, I beat LT in game 2, so next one is the decider. I got some lucky blocks, if I hadn't it might have been closer.

I claim responsility for inactivity. Honestly, I don't even have an excuse this time, my mind has just been wandering a little too much.

Match--I'll try get our decider in soon. We're not doing default though. :wink2:

Yeah. Match Strike and I played two third matches, neither of which was decided before he had to leave (and when I say decided, I mean it was both even). After the second match we got so sick of waiting to play our match that we just agreed to settle the next four game-deciding moves. His last attacker (the Beast Rider) had 20 HP, and his Frost was blocked by a Shrub. It would have taken him two move-attacks to free the Scout and in that time his Beast Rider could not take two hits that would kill it before he could heal, take one of my attackers with Frost and kill it (I was Clericless) and rape me from there. I had four chances to hit the thing twice with front hits, since his Cleric had just healed and our positioning forbid me from taking side hits. Instead of replaying our third match for a third time, we just played out that four-move scenario.

First hit was 14%; he bocked.
Second was 67%; I hit.
Third was 23%; he blocked.
Final was 78%; I hit.

That would have cleared the game for me, since in the real scenario he'd have no attackers. Good games Match, very close and, dare I say it, a 5-game decider. :eek: I could skip on the 5 games part, but it was a pleasure playing tourney with you, hope to do it again sometime. :)

Well done LT. Sounds like a pretty long and drawn out series of games.

The Sniper and myself are having great difficulty meeting up due to the time differences (we are halfway across the world from eacc other), but should hopefully play in the next few days.
