The rating collection tournament

ALL RATINGS DUE TODAY, TUESDAY MAY 8TH

This tournament is a tournament with little direct battling until the end.

I will give a grey account (Just to ensure no cheating) at the begining when I am finished getting people to join to all of the people still in the tournament.
At the end of each week,the remaining members will pm me with their stats. I will then post the standings the next day. End of week is defined as sunday. People will have until monday. Those who do not PM me their stats will be recorded as a 0
The bottom half willl then be eliminated. I will then post everyone up with their stats.

Due to the inevitable wipe, I will add the last recorded rating from each player - 750 to the new account.

Week after week this will go on, until there are 4 people left.

When there are 4 people left, it will come down to a tournament, with seeding


16 people. it will last 2 weeks and then the single elimination tournament

Then they get out easily in the final 4... if it seemed unrealisticly high I might start to suspect something, but otherwise... Im also thinking that most forumers aren't boosters

First, did this really require a new account? You'll be handling so few people...Bleh.

How about you enforce some sort of a 3-game-per-day rule. Make everyone write down who they play, when they play them, the stats of each person before and after, and when the game was played. This way the tournament is decided based on skill and willing to stick one's neck out, not just effort.

Sorry I'm late I just saw the post that said this was advanced early and I hadn't decided on participating until just now. Next time I'll get in. It would be nice to do this with a set schedule with notice though...so those who don't get on the forum every night or are in a different time zone have the same notice.

EDIT: So I'm clear. Since we began this tourney in the middle of the week does that mean that our 'end of week' will be Wednesday of next week or do we still abide by the rule of Sunday being end of week.

I was at 1050 by Thursday afternoon. I s/s every match b/c I was paranoid of the wipe....Though I know I missed some I think my final s/s total was like 45 games total. I think there was only seven losses in that.

I have a very odd work week....Its from Tues-Sunday so my days off are very irregular but when I do get a afternoon off its normally by lunchtime.

Getting there is not so odd to me. In HA our best grey just hit 1500 and he did that in three weeks.

I beat three or four golds in the 1100s or so lost to two in the 1300s though, and would only play greys over 950 so that I could at least win 10-20 points per game.

I'm not a bad grey player. That's why I made it to the semifinals in the BST tourney as well....Man it's hard competition in that though. I've still got to defeat: Powza, Stiff Meister and Meletus/Chimpy Chan to win it all....
I don't know if I can take them on or not. But I consider this tourney good training for those future matches. :D
