No more "Tourney Leader" accounts

I started a horrible trend that I'd like to fix. I created an account named RGL Leader, because the RGL has 50-60 people in a round-robin tournament. Basically, each person plays 8-9 games, so you have at least 200 games to keep track of. Other tournaments these days don't have nearly as many requirements. A single elimination tournament doesn't have nearly as many games to keep track of, nor nearly as much of a demand. To tell you the truth, I don't even need to use the RGL Leader account so much.

Now you have every tournament with a tourney leader account. This is useless. I know it doesn't take up a tremendous amount of space, but it's still an unnecessary addition. Also, no tournament leader should be anonymous. While it may have been suitable for the RGL, and maybe a 60 person tournament could make use of it, I'd rather people stop making tourney leader accounts entirely. Either use your own account to record wins/losses or start an e-mail address from now on. We should all be responsible for our own tournaments enough to not have user anonymity, and there are so many other ways to keep track. A 16 person tournament doesn't need a seperate user account; in fact, I don't know of any tournament that absolutely needs one. So stop making them.

Tournaments that already made leader accounts can keep them and use them. I ask new tournaments to not follow the trend.

Yeah, I agree, that's why I didn't make any leader account for my tournament. Also, don't forget to add that some noob golds hide behind leader accounts to get people to join their tournament, because they know that otherwise people wouldn't want to join a tournament that they are hosting.

Web: If you can find a logical fallacy with my post, other than "why's it such a big deal", then I'd love to hear it. Otherwise, there's no problem with people agreeing with it. I agree with monk here, theres no need for a tournament director account with a hidden identity.

I also disapprove of most tournaments where the leader is participating (there are exceptions when I don't have a problem with it), and I've noticed that most of these tournies have their organizer participating. :dry:
