Farewell Foxes

I would like to inform everyone that I am leaving The Foxes. This is due in part to the fact that the honorable reputation that I, along with so many other Foxes, have taken over two years to create, has been decimated due to the actions of Foxes on the Banff and possibly the Armegeddon server as well.

The Foxes were a peaceful clan, never in search of power, only respect. However this has changed recently. They seem to be only concerned with rating and not with the behavior of those who have acquired it. I am apalled at the manner in which some members carry themselves.

Due to these recent changes, I would like to personally apologize to anyone who has been mistreated by a Foxes member. I have noticed that some members tend to resort to childish behavior, or even profanity. I ask that you please forgive these members for there actions, and I hope that they will refrain from repeating them.

The last thing that I wish to mention in this post is to those Foxes who wish to carry on our torn banner of pride. I wish you the best of luck in restoring our tarnished name. Be respectful in your actions, and not hasty. Remember that the true goal of The Foxes is not power, but respect. All The Foxes was ever meant to be was an honorable clan with ancient roots. Our members were always moderately skilled, giving the opponent a fair challenge, but always remembering that losing with honor is better than winning with arrogance. I ask that the few of you left who wish to carry on this legacy do so as paragons of the community.

Farewell Foxes, you will truly be missed.

Jeffery is precisely correct Merdoc. The actions of one member of the clan represent the actions of the entire clan, not just that person. That is why I always reminded our members to put thought into their actions before proceeding.

Ok, it's natural for a person (mostly male) to be competitive, and I can understand your reasoning, but your missing my point. When I was in the Banff clan, the main topic is rank and stats, very seldom did I see anyone offer any help to another player. Maybe I was there at the wrong time and missed these conversations, but in my eyes, a good clan is a clan that attempts to better its people by advice, encouragement, training and so on. I have played a few games with you in the clan, and I can't think of one tip you gave me concerning our games. Obviously, you are a better turtler than I am, but I don't recall you trying to teach anyone else about it.

All I can say is that in most sense they are right Dape you do talk "alot" about clan rankings that "we're SUPPOSEDLY talking this spot" and "SUPPOSEDLY" taking this spot, but you know hardly anybody cares, they only agree because if they say they don't care you would jump-ship and do something to make them leave, and you like you said "you will all see this change" True that and hell yeah "we will all se it change" when you TRY IT on your own.

To take a little from the argument Jeff and Dape were having, it's a shame that *Trogdor*'s actions did not reflect favourably on the reputation of the clan outside of Great Lakes. It's easy to lay blame on his faction of The Foxes for what the other factions are doing, but it's much harder to give credit where credit is due.

I think Trog's actions reflect his integrity as a leader, and I tip my hat to you, Trog, for taking a stand even as you were bowing out. Not like this is a good-bye or anything since you'll still be around TAO, but...
