The First Team Parfait Tournament

Idea Behind the Tournament
When I made the post asking whether or not people would be interest in the following tournament I received very positive feedback. For all of those that missed my post I'll put the concept of this tournament right here. Setups now a day almost always use the same units. We all know what the good and not so good units of the game are by this point so I thought a little twist would be fun.

Basic Concept
-It is a team tournament

-Teams consist of 3 players

-If you are not farmiliar with team tournaments this is how they are played:

-Player 1 of your team will play the first player of the opposing team. Whoever wins carries their units into the following game against player #2..this process is continued until all three members of a team are eliminated.

The Twist
Now heres where this tournament is different from other team tournaments hosted in the past. Among all three players of a team, each unit may only be used twice. Thats right, two total clerics..two total knights..two total scouts..etc.

-Each unit may only be used a total of twice!

-If a 3rd individual unit is used that is an automatic game loss if your opponent chooses to claim to it. So be careful with your setups!

-If a player has two frostys, or two beastys..or any other drop he may use both in his setup so long as no other player on his team uses a third.

-There are a total of 19 unique units, that leaves you with 38 unit choices for 30 slots..this will be a very different tournament.

-Not only will it test your skill with improvised setups..it will also test your ability to work as a team.

Bits and Pieces
To sign up list all three members of your team. If the name is not the same as the account they will be playing on list it next to their name. List a team name. Signups end two weeks from today.

-You may have one positition of play change before the tournament begins and another afterwards.

-You may change your name anytime you'd like.

-You may change players anytime before the tournament begins and exchange one player after it has begun.

-I will most likely enter a team of my own..just so everyone is 100% clear the brackets are not fixed..I will show you how I determined who plays who. I get a Revelation rating of everyone who enters. I am then going to add the entire teams rating together. The top seed team will be the team with the highest overall rating. Top team plays the lowest team..second highest plays second lowest etc..NCAA style :P

Team 4=1st seed; Team 3= 2nd seed Team 1= 3rd seed Team =4th seed
First round:
Team 4 vs. Team 1
Team 3 vs. Team 2

The bracket will be listed at the beginning of the tournament..and it will be very easy to determine who your opponents COULD be throughout the entire tournament. This will reward players who got their rating up on revelation and will make the rankings entirely fair.

The Prize
It is TAL certified so points and medals are on the line. How many points will be determined by how many sign up and at the mods descretion.

Important Ending Notes
I want both players taking screenshots since it is very imporatant to remember what units were left at the end of the match. If there is a d/c it is the responsibility of the non-d/c'd player to take a screenshot to be posted in the thread. I will then look at the screenshot and make a decision on whether the game should be replayed or what to do in the following match.

I'm sure I haven't covered everything yet..I will make edits later tonight. Please feel free to ask questions or let me know if I have forgotten anything. Until then, find a team and spread the word. Good luck.

A parfait(misspelled in the title) is a dessert with a little bit of everything. It is also a term that can be used to mean "A little bit of everything"..kind've fitting..I checked dictionarys and couldn't find that definition lol..but I'm sure it fits..I got the name from a Magic: The Gathering deck called Parfait which basis itself on having one or two cards of everything. Chainheart and company just repost when you have a team name(it can always be changed) and a temporary or permanent order of team members.

I have one question about this tourney that I would like to have answered. I'm too lazy to go back through all the pages so I don't know if this has already been asked.

Say I play second and the guy in front of me loses and his opponent has 2 units left. The units I play him with are the ones I'm going to have to play the next guy with right? And when facing the next guy I can change my formation? Justice may be better than a 933, unfortunately that is his rating so its what I have to rate him as. There are a few more flaws, with Zeka being ranked low and such but anyhow..that shouldn't stop the best teams from doing well.
