Okay, If this has been suggested before, please give me the links. I have yet learned how to use the search function effectively. So please bare with me here.
Okay, My idea.... (might be a poor description)
I think that the newbie shouldn't count as
1) Posts - If you post it doesn't count towards your post count.
2) Rep - Rep whoring noobs will be stopped
Then the rate the_____ threads would be posted in less, and people might actually become smarter posters.
Thus, in the end...TAO might actually become spam free. Though i highly doubt that will be possible.
Feedback, Flames?

how in the world is this a suggestion?
And what idiot defines such a thing in such a manner?
Oddly enough,I think this would be well suited for the noob section...

Uh-huh. And where will n00bs get started huh? GD? CAU? Nope, they'd be booted out. Bad idea.

I think this is a good idea as well. It would definately reduce the amount of re boosting upon the newer members.
It should also hopefully encourage members to make posts in other places, and put more meaning into them.
Riathmus - This wouldn't be keeping n00bs from getting started, at all. I don't see why you think it would. In the long run it should actually help them out.

no applicable suggestion is being put forth
all you have is some vague notion

I'm not saying to get rid of the newbie board. Im simply saying it would be better if their posts wouldn't count towards their post count.

So none of the suggested things in the forum section has been put in effect?

out of over 1300 threads involving suggestions...maybe 5 have ever been put into effect
So yes, thats true, but totally outside my point.
Many of these are useful, quantifiably beneficial concepts as well.
Your concept...is just silly. It mistakenly believes that you can persuade people here to adjust their attitudes to suit some vague ideal. The end result would be...people would simply take their posts to the GD section and continue such activities there. Likely without any percievable delay or slow down in such behavior as well.
All of which ignores that such things aren't REALLY a problem. Its people behaving as they will according to their personalities. I don't expect much from 14 year old kids here, and I am amused by anyone who does.

Ahh, I see where you're coming from. Well, I was just browsing another forum, and saw that their newbie board section didn't count towards someones post count. Minimizing post whoring or in some instances rep whoring(or credit whoring). I just thought if this could be implemented, there would be less spam for the newbie board, and it could just be minimized for its soul purpose. Introductions.
But, whatever, i just thought i could get this out into the open.

First, all those strange threads exist in GD as well.
Second, no one really cares about pc or rep, so why are you so concerned?

Ok, there are a few of you that I have yet to understand. A new guy/gal comes in and makes stupid threads in the wrong places. Mostly because they put no thought into what they are saying. And people jump in their case. This person on the other hand, may not be that worried about pc/rep but if he/she managed to look around you can see that other people are concerned. He/She seen something in another forum and decided to throw the idea out there, apparently trying to make a form of contribution to the forums. Yet, a few out there, Mega and Monkus mainly get on his/her case for doing it? Now what do you expect these people to do? Apparently there is no way of pleasing you other than not posting at all. If you disagree with this then state that, but don't get on their case for at least attempting to make a contribution.

Hahahaha! No. You see, the newbie board is the source of all spam. Making it have no pc+1ing is a bit of uneccessary coding. That would also mean that the helpful posts wouldn't be counted. Plus, if a noob is spamming or being a retard, we have the freedom to neg him.

In no way can this thread be a, "suggestion".
Basically, you didn't even say anything, how could this help make members better posters?
Almost, you could have just PM'd this to a moderator. Also, you joined this month, how could you know anything about spam on the forums, or what it looked like when you see it.?. Try thinking more before you make such silly threads.

Excuse me? When have I ever attacked a newer poster who had only the intent of learning to use the forums? When have I ever treated someone with disrespect simply because of their inexperience? How dare you accuse me of something like that without any proof.
