As the title says i would like to know what you guys think of TAL, The Tactics Arena League, Personally i dont like it, i think its much better that if you win a tournament you should get a prize, not point. Right now, its you have to wait 6 months until you get into a big tournament where first place wins a great prize and second place wins a unit drop on rev, i think that sucks.

It used to be that if you win a tourney that the Director pm's a mod and the mod thinks its prize worthy the main prize would be either a Avy of Choice (LW,BW,Shrub) or A Beast Rider,Frosty,Wisp, or something on rev.

Yea, I would have to agree with you on this one. I do not like the TAL idea very much because people must win two tournaments to get a reward. Also, what if you win a tournament right after the last TAL finals? That would suck because now you must wait like what, a year for the next one to roll around? I think that it would be much better if it went back to the ways it use to be.

Well, I would prefer to have drops, but I can see why they would instead have points.

Well...I think its ok I guess... they were handing out special avy's too often before, if everyone has a special avy, then its no fun having one. I think they should have a avy tourny once every six months like it is now, tourny's made by others can be confirmed for a prize such as a drop choice. Then again, I dont like how mud, beasts and frosts are dropped on rev...personally, I think its completely retarded and if you want those drops, head to legends.

Yep, Draq i tottally agree, this is what i think should happen.

No Gold Unit Drops on Rev,

A tourney every month for a special avy any normal tourney should get a gold unit drop as prize.

I think your idea / system is simply not nearly as organized as the TAL. I saw HK and monkus put a great deal of thought into it, and I think its a good idea.

If you want a prize for your tourney, YOU provide it, don't expect the administration to give out prizes for player run tournies. They will, however, provide prizes for a moderator run tourney. And a large, well organized one at that, such as the season final of the TAL.

Yes, bludhoundz they did but there are no tournies anymore that the winner gets a prize. Well everyone has their own opinion.

I'm pretty much fine with TAL....The frosty, mud and beast drops are what I dont like.

It's okay. Maybe we could have a TAC. (Tactics Arena Committee) There could be certain kinds of tournies, special avys (Rare), any gold drop on Rev. (Medium), any gray drop on Rev. (Average), and just a regular tourney with no prize. The TAC would decide what gets what and such. And maybe once a year, the TAC could do a tourney that has a gold trophy as a prize. The tourney would be huge and would be held by the TAC. :)

There were simply too many awards being given out, and too many people whining about their tournaments not getting prizes. We wanted a way to create incentive for tournament participation without giving away a frosty a week.

Too many tournies....run by random ppl. I think all random tournies should have a seperate part of forums..and keep this one strictly to the mods and big idea tournies only !

Meh...w/e happened to the good ol days :(

Big tournies ...simple ones.. Tag team , turt rush free, 3 way :P... Stricly run with quick deadlines....best team wins...all of tao knows it...now...

you win a tourney...who knows..who cares.

OMG I WON THE...UMM..SUPER GREY..SETUP WITH RULES...LEAGUE..OF TOURNIES..RUN BY...NOOBBOOSTER4000...I rule !!!

Your policy idea is a modification of the current TAL.

And the TAL is better than tournament anarchy.
