There's only one thread ahead of this one, but I'll bump it anyway.

My spirits are lifted a little, i beat two golds a little while ago. Not people I knew, but over a hundred wins.

Heh, I'm one of the primary members of the oldest clan, and one of the top 200 first members, and yet i have yet to break 100 wins. This is partly because i spend more time here than in-game, but mostly because I've been reset 3 times. I'd have....mathmathmath....around 180 wins and 40 losses (from my n00b-type days mostly, i have 9 now)

Everyone be sure to check in on the KOTR forums and KOTR chat once in a while. There are a couple people (including uknowwho42) waiting to become KOTR members. Help them out. Also, give abyaly someone to talk to and help break the five person record in the chat.

Website is going along fine. I was slowed a bit when I previewed everything and realized my navbar was worse than the old one, so...yeah. But I'm back on track now. The Jan 1st midnight deadline is still in effect.

Also on the website, I'm still looking for pictures for the gallery. I only have ONE, from Al (thank you Al) and we need more than THAT. e-mail me at impertur@imperturbable.net with a full-size .jpg or .gif of your best formation for the good of the clan. It'll be password protected, so don't worry about non-clanmembers stealing it. We need strategy! Thank you. This has been a public announcement, good day.

On a last and final note, since I'm back from my Grandad's, I'm free to work on banners once more! Rah, the crowd goes wild! Well, never mind. If you need a banner and ReNeGaDe's busy, just give me specs and I'll whip out a quality banner in no time free of charge. To broaden my clientele, I'll do out-of-clanners too, to let Renegade have most of KOTR, since that seems his main occupation nowadays.

Whew, that was a long post, but chock full of lemony goodness. Five people have probably already replied by know, but ah well. I started this at 5:15 PM :p

*edit- nope. Guess people are off the forums. Ah well. Anway, by typing this, this post now has 110% more yummy!

well that was a long read, but oh so lemony. anyways check the strategies forum there are some shots there of formations. also its time for me to start my big, huge, giant-ass project. I'm going to make a kickass flash intro for the KOTR site, unless you already have one with the new years upgrade. I expect it will take me a month or so cause I can tell right now its gonna be hard. Also if you have any good idea for a final logo picture thing thats really awesome tell me cause I cant really picture one right now. This is gonna be huge..... as soon as i get around to it.

Yeah, I was thinking about making a flash intro from the start, but never got around to it. You can make one, that would be great.

You might want to wait to see what the new website looks like, to be able to incorporate the flash as well as possible into the site.

I can answer for Choi. If he used Flash, he applied alpha effects to two ends of the spectrum of a linear gradient. If he used Fireworks, he created a mask and applied an transparency effect to it.

To Renegade: I'm ironing out the last few details. Since you're leaving, I'll give you a treat and e-mail you a screen shot tonight or tommorow, Wednesday morning at the very latest, it probably won't come to that.

Arg. Choi, I haven't used it, but the Clan's name or abbreviation is underneath your name in blue in the window, If I remember correctly.

It's just my view, but i think it looks a little off on the banner, Choi.

Also, clan functions aren't here yet, so I can't register.

Everyone ooh and aah at my new banner and avatar. The brand melts stomachs, but i happen to like coca-cola red :p

this is where clan organization truly shows. the disorganized clans will get flooded with newbs and spam the forums until their leaders get sick of what their clan has become; long standing clans are going to shine through.

I'm actually having a few friends over to have hot cocoa in front of the fire, reading old magazines and waiting for the new site to come up! We WILL be the first ones to see it!!! Ok maybe I'm not doing that, but I bet it will be sweet Hashish...can't wait. Also if anyone wants to follow up on my clan records idea, that would be awesome, I'll help too. For those that didn't hear, we post whenever we play a member of another clan so we can get our records vs that clan. Another idea for the site is just to add up all the members statistics of KOTR so we get a win/loss total and percentage...that would be sweet. Alright see ya

Don't that figure. Just as I was okayed to propose us not warring with KOTR. Honestly with how we're set up, we've been focusing on dominating our own server from the get go. Intense and I had been kicking that fact around on the other forum lately. We are just interested in working with anyone else that would get this new clan structure on the server where it should be.

What happened is that I cleared it out to give way for the new infrastructure, so I don't have to frantically do it at 11:57. Its to preserve the suprise. A new years present isn't any good at 11:50 PM :p

Its not up yet, I've just set up all the images I need, and all the directories to put the files in. i also gutted the site and removed all the old pages, which is why u can't see em. So...yeah.

And to Lone Wolf: don't worry, it was mostly just jumbled blather, no worries. Just flow with it :)

i was just going to edit my last post and then thought that KOTR can always use another redundant post. Anyway, MasterGolem turned me onto this. Every1 else probably knows but me :p, but you can edit both ends of a .net passport. Does any1 else think it would be cool to have clan name e-mails for clan business?

Fellow clan mates, it has come to my attention that there is a major problem. As much as I want to deny it, I can no longer ignore this fact.
I'm addicted to videogames.
Therefore, I have come to this unreasonable but sound decision.

and
THE #1 Player on Armageddon

As of GL: Nothing. The closest member is Choi, who is number 30! Whoohooo! Go Choi!

And for the real reason I'm posting, I need to ask a favor of you guys. When you read this post, could you go to the website and look at the ranking and tell me: is the knight enclosed in a white rectangle? If he is, than that's wrong, he should be surrounded by a white halo. He is on my computer, but some older computers don't support png, and so make it look a little off. Choi has reported the problem, and I want to make sure it isn't a fluke. Also, I've also corrected about three dozen mistakes and bugs this morning, so make sure you visit it again before reporting any. Thanks.

Yup, those are the two big errors I'm working on. What you see is what you get definately does NOT apply to web authoring, so the quality of the homepage is steadily getting worse, so...i'm tryin to fix it.

I also removed the knight until I could figure out how to remove the white rectangle.

The homepage is really giving me troubles. The header images will not show up on windows computers no matter what I do. I can view it on my mac fine, but it just...disappears. And the code is perfect, I check. This call will probably go unanswered, but does anyone know how to put an image under text so that it looks the same in both Windows and Mac and doesn't use Divlayers? I've tried divlayers, and tables, and even good old eyeballing have failed. The divlayers so far is the only one I know won't work... Sigh...eeeeeviiiiil...

I use a combination of Flash MX and Fireworks MX, they're part of the Macromedia set of darlings.

...the full set of Macromedia titles is a little under 900 dollars, so you might just want to get one...ore get it illegally off KaZaA.

So, I think I'd like every1 to look at this. I sketched it on computer paper, then scanned it, and then traced it over and filled it in with flash.

Here's the idea we had. As the next innovation of KOTR and its stupendirific site, a biweekly webcomic would go up on the site. This is a sample character I drew, I named him...Ken. The comic would follow the events and conversations of Ken and his friends, with a mostly-focus on TAO (Ken is an avid TAO gamer, you can tell becuz he be so damn cool). His trials and tribulations both on and off TAO would serve as the jokes of the comic. What does everyone think?

In more serious news, I thought about it for a long time, then decided that zachattack13 should be expelled from the clan. The charges against him may or may not be true, but:

A. The fact that there was an 8:8 tie shows that almost half the clan has some reason to dislike him or not to want him in the clan, which would be a bad environment for anyone.

B. The fact that there has been so much debate over his expulsion doesn't lend much credit to him either.

C. If the allegations involving him and Patrel are true, then he is someone I would not want in the clan.

D. He seems to attack rather than defend, giving classic responses as a someone who is lying. The truthful person usually denies it, the lying person usually asks why the allegations have been brought to him.

I'm sorry for all this mess if it was truly a big misunderstanding, zach, but as of right now your KOTR privelages are revoked. Leader of his server, please complete the neccesary actions.

I just checked the rankings. We're not too shabby. We have seven scattered throughout Great Lakes, heh I'm in 60th, and have about the same range as The Elite, which also had seven members. We did the best there.

In Banff, that board was dominated by Strategic Insomniacs, absolutely filled the upper brackets. We had three in the higher to middle areas, including Atomsk in fourth. Could be worse :).

In Armageddon, we also had three, but the top brackets were fairly random, so...well, actually, I don't know what that means, so...whatever.

Congratulations to everyone who got on the board. BTW, Riders of Rohan appears to be in another clan now...that's strange...well, that sucks. Our first switch, so sad.
