I'm working on a new website, which is why I haven't been able to update the old one. This new one will be radically different than v2.4 (our current version) but of course I'll make sure to double-check with every1 before making it the official site. I'll also try and get back into the KOTR forum and update the site frequently...and maybe even play a game or two!!! Amazing, I know. TAO has lost a little of it's edge at the moment for me, but I think with the gold server and any other updates they do, I'll have to get gold again and start playing.

I'm sorry I haven't been on the KOTR forums, but I can't find anything to post on, everything is almost alien to me now.

Who is the leader on Revelation?

It would seem to me that the best idea is to give leadership on Revelations to someone who is on a lot. Now, I'm a relatively new member of KOTR (a few weeks or so,) but I have been playing since the first week of TAO, and I am not suggesting that I should be the one to be leader on Revelations. However, I am on every day and feel I can serve this clan well.

I was in KwOzmaj for awhile, then in ViS after a short stint in The Elite's Alliance. ViS fell apart because Jay lied to us all, so that was retarded. I'm sick of clan hopping and I want clanmates on Revelation.

Let's do something about this, please. If KOTR is dying, fair enough, but if you want it to keep going, please let me know what's up, and let's try and do somehting about this.

The KOTR website is coming along great, and hopefully I'll have it up in a week or so. Unlike the current version (2.4, if anyone is really counting) version 3.0 of the KOTR website is radically different than the TAO counterpart, and should offer plenty old and new for people to enjoy. Hashish out.

When I eventually get back on the KOTR forums, I'll have a lot of suggestions for the clan, especially on government and membership. We have to get KOTR moving again!

Hopefully, hopefully, the website will be relased sometime on the ides of March (happy Death-day, Ceasar!), and I'm working double-time to make sure it happens. If it doesn't, I might have slipped to 1.5-time once in a while, who knows? :) Anyway, look out for it. It would be nice for people to submit new screenies, artwork, cartoons, any media you want displayed on the site. We got to fill it up with cool stuff :)

Me and Golem have been going back and forth over a potential alliance between KOTR and my clan, Bushido Gaiden. Bushido is almost the same thing as KOTR, but only on Great Lakes. We have a rigorous tryout process, just like you. Oh, we hate the Pyro Pyrates too:)

Hi, it's me, Hashish_Scout. I'm still alive and kicking, don't worry. I thought KOTR had been dead and buried, however, so it was a pleasant suprise to me when Lord Achilles told me in Gunbound that the rest of KOTR had mysteriously apparated back into the game. So here I am. And about the new membername: for some reason, it won't let me log in as Hash (maybe it got reset, how sad) so I had to make a new account.

I realize (finally) that the site needs to be more autonomous. Pertaining that, I enlisted the help of Choi (who sadly has given up TAO) to help code up a new site for me. In a week or so light should be given to KOTR 4.0: Age of Blood. Look out for it! Updates should include:

-A newly organized and moderated forum.
-A comment box for e-mailing me for comments and membership requests
-Fully automated "newest member" and "best member" boxes
-Fully automated ranking/member page
-New (and improved?) design, look and feel
-Other suprises may or may not occur depending on laziness

hash the handprint in your sig pissed me off cause it wasnt bloody enough, so i made another one. I was gonna make it into a banner but the blood smudges went off the side of the canvas when i wasnt paying attention so now i cant add the banner without it looking a little messed up, and i dont feel like going back and redoing it at the moment. anyways im sure u can fix that somehow.... heres the link. use it or die. i made it from scratch and did a ton of custom texturing and layering to make it look as cool as possible!

I have a banner request, but alas, I have specifics. I like my banner now, but I would like one made for the RPG, Empires.

Ideas: On the left (in the background, slightly faded) I would like the top of a building from the Forbidden City in China. (I'm sure you know what I mean)

In the middle, faded into the Chinese thingy, I would like the Roman Colluseum.

On the far right, I would like a Scottish/British portion of a castle.

All of these would be slightly faded and dissolved into each other.

And on top of that all will reside (in all Caps):

-EMPIRES-

And directly under (in smaller lettering, still in caps)

THE RPG

(I'm thinking that "Empires" will be much larger than "The RPG"... like a 4:1 ratio)

These letters (to stand out) might work outlined in gray or slightly shadowed. (Letters.... I'm thinking white)

And on the images in the background, I would prefer actual images rather than art.

As for the website. The image of it is one at least. I e-mailed it to Lord Achilles and he can vouch that it is pretty funky. Now, I need to start cutting it up and inserting code into it. The final results are in, some of the rumors (well, most of them) will be repeated but this is concret folks:

-Database-run Newest Member/Best Member
-Comment box on all pages
-News will be run by blog, so it's easy to update and others can post too.
-A database is being coded, so that there will be a password accessed page for qualified and high-ranking members to enter. This page will allow these people (including myself) to add a member, delete a member, change his rankings, and tell whether or not he is gold, what server he is on and whether he is a staffmember. This means that the rank and member boards can be updated on the fly with no problems.
-The pages will be stripped down to Home, Membership, Members/Ranking, Forum, and TAO, since the image sections were hard to update and mantain, and no one really sent in much anyway. I may add the shots and maybe even the comic back in if I have time, but don't hold your too long...at least not before taking another breath.

Give thanks to Choi, muchos thankos, since this coding could not have been done without him. The website is being made so that it can be updated and mantained quickly and from anywhere by any qualified people, so it should run a lot more smoothly than for me to shout at everyone to shut up since I was busy with everything and then forget everything and do nothing...that sucked. It gave me an ulcer before I got into my 20s. So yay for Choi!

So sorry, of course. I just recieved my computer back today in the mail, in sparkly new condition- and completely wiped of any trace of my work. Incidentally, the webpage might be a couple more days in coming. Plus there's midterms coming up (again! Why do they torture us continually? WHY?) so that might conflict with personal interests as well. The site will be more automated and cooler than ever, of course, it's just the due date that might be...flexible...

and HS, I wanna try the chat thing again. first creating a global TAO IRC chat, then expand to have a KOTR chat room on the same server. seems more practical to me. look at my post about IRC in the GD forum. it are sticky ^^

Heh, I'll might need your help on that, if you know how to do that, because I'm at best hazy on IRC and ICQ. The biggest thing I've done was the KOTR chat, which was a prepackaged IRC copied-and-pasted off of a website, but hey, that might be all we need.

I'll put a link for it, we'll get it all together somehow.

EDIT: No one else's posted, so I'll have to suffice for an edit. I'm just so bursting with excitement for this website! It's leaps and bounds better than the old website in a couple of ways, not least of which is that it works. The vision of this website is slowly expanding, too, which slows things down a bit. Speaking of which, we're putting in a banner rotator in a little empty nook to advertise people's favorite sites. If you want your favorite site advertised, find a banner for it, ask me to make one for it, or make your own. the only rules are that it can't be pornagraphic or in flash, and should be 385x60 pixels. GIFs are fine, and even reccommended for their short download time. So! Let's see what's up with everybody.

I picked 385 because it was the closest of the standard sizes to the length I needed. I had this little nook I needed to fill and 385 did it perfect. Sorry, no 468 for 4.0 at least. Anyway, I would think that 468 by 60 would look a little thin, wouldn't you? I don't know, maybe I just don't know banners.

It all sounds good to me, but you should probably be careful. Some of those people in Outkast are pretty good.

EDIT: just a quick update to let everyone know what's happening. Right now, the designs for the news, member, and ranking pages are done. The news page is coded except for the newsposts themselves, ironically. The members page has most of it's code, but right now we're just making it fit into the space of the design comfortably. Also, to that end: who's still in KOTR? I've seen abyaly, ali, Say What?, ReNeGaDe, max2k106, ItzPhill, Majestic, Tony387, and Khelek. Am I missing too many people? Probably some newbies or some people who don't go on the clan thread, so help is appreciated. Oh, and to Abyaly: How do you want the chat page to be? I can get an internet client and stick a KOTR name on it, but I'm not sure how to make one that branches off of the TAO chat like you said. Help on that a little bit too?

The site is being tested in a secure location to make sure it works. As to the main page as it is now...it's in Lorem ipsum, and Channel Expansion is one of my client's, but I have no clue how it ended up there. My dad does some of the grunt webwork, so he might have done it by accident. How, I don't know. That main page is very confusing for me.

looks like it was render clouds, then some different clouds maybe, then filled with a rainbow colour gradient fill, then had the chrome effect applied, then a lense flair on a new layer and the text on top! the rainbow bg coud have been done seperately using the wave filter and then the chrome put in a second layer on top also... hard to tell which. Did i get close?
