1. how do you make a cross in your text?

2. how do you get a screen shot?

3.how do you make a box in your text?

I think you meant "don't" for #1 as well, uniq.

And regarding said "crosses", it's called a dagger and they are a symbol normally used for footnotes and annotations.

Also, let me be the first to say what a relevant poll that is...
