Arite, in many grey games, and even some gold games, people will attempt to scam you. This will be a guide on how to avoid such scams.

Scam #1. Press 'blah'

A lot of people will tell you to press F5, this does not give you a dragon or any unit. This will refresh the page if you use IE, and will cause you to surrender the game, resulting in a loss.

Another thing that I have seen is for people to get you to press something like "Hold down control and type 'winter'". This is basically the same as pressing Cntrl+W, which will close your browser window.

Finally, Something like "Press Alt+ F4 to automatically win". This too will close your browser.

A common thing that people will ask you to type is something like "Type Chess expert with no space and you will win!" Well, first off, who in the right mind would even think about falling for this? Anywho, don't type this, or anything like it (tactics expert, What does ASL stand for, etc.)

Another one is they will ask you "What is that african country that starts with nig?" Well, If asked this, you would think to respond Nigeria or something, but this too will boot you.

There are no special words or phrases you can say that will gain you free pieces. If someone asks you to type something, it is probably a scam, so think carefully before you do so. I mean, if it was true, why would they tell you?

Anyway, this would have been nice to see when I first started, I didn't fall for any of the cheats, but I did however fall for someone asking me what "ASL" stood for and I told them.

Lol, i had some serious lag last night. First i tried to make a thread on my regular browser, and it wouldn't work. So then I switched over to IE, and it didn't seem to work, and then I refreshed the newbie board and there were 2 of my threads :s. Wasn't intentional, sorry.

It was weird lag too, i could browse the forums and post fine, but the creating a thread didn't seem to be working.

f5 does not work on a new mozilla window running the game. its fun t honetly press f5 and then tell em nothing happened.

and i think Scorpionz made a point in there, i don't think new greys come to the forums before they been tricked, anyway, it's cool to see some1 who cares about this ;)
