Not exactly a "created unit," but an interesting idea that requires character making.

I was-a-thinking that everyone could have a hero/leader type unit in their armies that cannot be removed. There could be a plethora of different features to put on the unit, like choosing what is on its back, shirt, pants, shoes, hat, armor, hands, and other stuff. Then, there would be a points system to distribute the stats of the unit. So...whaddya think?

So would he be able to attack. He sounds like a figurehead to me, which I think would be cool. But if he can't be removed, he's like some demi-god. Maybe if you could customize your avatar like that, it could be the same thing. clarify what you mean by this guy. It sounds intriguing.

I know what he's talking about. Most strategy games have a 'Hero' of some sort, that is wicked powerful, and sometimes even powers up units near it.

The prospect of completely customizing his look would be awesome. Also, he could gain experience, and learn skills, like special attacks, or increased HP/Power/Defense (ala Warcraft III heroes)

This would be pretty darn awesome. :) Just as long as he isn't too buff.

Well, it (it could be a he or she, let's call it he) is a kind of figurehead, a personal, customized character that is never the same for anyone (except for some freak coincidence). He may be a demi-god, but then everyone will have a demi-god of different power, but pretty much equal. (because of the credit for stats system.) You could set him as a n avATar if u want to. You could pretty much customize everything about him.

I'm liking the idea of having a hero unit. When you create an account, you should have to create one hero unit for the account. Now you can choose to make him a buff for your team, or an ultra powerful guy.

For example, he could have one of the following

- Add 10 armor to every friendly unit
- Add 5 damage to every friendly attack
- Heal every friendly unit 2 hp within a 3 block radius of him
- Spell that damages every enemy unit 5 hp, a 5 turn recovery
- Plague spell that damages every enemy unit 1 hp for 5 turns until he's either dead, or 5 turns runs out. 5 Turn recovery. So if you want to constantly be plaguing your opponent, you lose a turn every 5.
- Plenty of other things as well, but you can use your imagination (basically any of the superpowers that alot of people want to be included could be put into an option for a hero unit.

I don't really think that at this level there should be hero/leader charcters...perhaps when *if actually* the battlefield gets bigger and more units are allowed on it should be put in. Right now however it doesn't seem right. :)

Well, maybe you could only have eight units, and your leader counts as two. (Idea) They would all be ultimately equal in power, they would just have different weapons, powers, and attacks, which would be balanced.

wayyy to powerful
mayer it would be like "here is 20 points add it to anything u want"
and it would start off with like some stats

the aura thing is too powerful especaly to attack
attack should not be changed because it just gets too high
okay idea though
neads tinkering

I think adding a hero on the battle field is useless, as there is no need to have a leader to give orders to your troops. And it would just add a bigbeater on the table without much interest added in the game. If you want a big bad character, just look at the dragon, he's enough, we don't need any other type of huge.
And if he exists he should either be removable, or just an ordinary knight with nothing special.

But to be able to custumise the avatar would be a very cool idea!!
