Tomfox is in the top 100 and greyjumping. Indiana1 is up there but not in the top 100. Both are fully aware of what they are doing and do not give a damn that they are ruining the game by discouraging new players.
I have screenies of indiana1 but not tomfox. If you want solid evidence, watch them in action. These are all taken withnin minutes of each other today.

*Tattle Tell* :p
Actually, this is very sad and a little aggrivating. I know when I first started I heard enough negative things about grey jumping to not do it. I have yet to reach a top 100 spot but I continue to try when I have the time.
Seeing that these people are able to accomplish this task by grey jumping lowers the value that I give to being in the top 100.
*People that have gotten there legitimately still have my utmost respect.*

Thats true, Chain. Haven't played Indiana ever. though TomFox is pretty cool. Played him long before and he's pretty good.

Indiana1 used to play on Banff, and got into the rankings from grey jumping. I beat him a lil' while back on banff, and he tried to scam me (I didn't have a forums account back then, or else I would have reported him  ).I've never even heard of TomFox, though. I find it pathetic that a gold has to jump a grey to gain stats.

Retodd. .Are you seriously retarted.. They wait on a floor, and wait to be jumped by ANYONE.. Ive beaten Indiana1 with my grey once. And Tomfox with my gold. Indiana played on banff a while ago.. Tomfox is pretty good.

I am ReTodd, not retarded. Both of them jumped me while I was sitting on floor 9. As you can see from my 1st screenshot I politely ask grey jumpers if they are new to gold. Both tomfox and indiana1 knew that it was frowned down upon ank flat out said they didn't give a damn and started whining about how hard it is to get a game.
Greyjumping is a big deal! People new to the game get discouraged by this and lose interest if they have no chance to win. And new greys have no chance against golds. Over time, this behavior will result in fewer new players making it even more difficult to find a game and could contribute to the downfall of the community, as new players are need to keep the activity level up.

Maybe this is what you have seen, but I would appreciate it if you held your tounge before you start defending players who jumped me. I am not talking about their skills at all. Neither player cares at all about the community if they are knowingly jumping greys. I sincerely hope you are not questioning my ability to realize that someone is a greyjumper after they jump me.

ppl that jump greys occasionally is nothing to be concerned about, unless they do it ALL the time, and being a complete stats whore, then there is a problem.
it really is hard to get a game sometimes on the fps, maybe golds whine that its hard to get games going, but thats a fact.
grey jumping makes the game for greys a lot more interesting, and it might influence the greys to turn gold when they see what the units can do in a real game. there r a lot ways to look at on this issue. and u can always argue that greys can be duscouraged...bah...it varies from person to person. so you cant say its hurting the community or w/e u r saying. ppl r just playing the game
grey vs golds doesnt mean greys ALWAYS loose, hell no, i must admit grey is put into a big disadvantage, but if the grey win it would be very rewarding. usually losing doesnt even matter that much considering the golds stats r much higher.

Legends is an entirely different situation because of the gold drops and single gold accounts. I still don't jump there, but I understand those who will jump a grey with a gold unit for an avatar.
Chain, name one player that occasionally (less than once per day) jumps greys. It does discourage new players because the game is inherently balanced in their opponents favor. How does it encourage someone who is still learning how to play isn't sure if they enjoy the game enough to slap down $5 monthly.
Would you ever jump a grey with a gold account without them asking to play against you? I didn't think so. Why is it that you don't?
