Welcome to 7-unit, Bubo's Mini-Tourney !!!

Intro:

Currently my first tourney is ending and I am little bit bored on forums ( coz I still can't find people to play my games for other tourneys ). So, I decided to make a mini-tourney. Maybe there are many tourneys now, but RGL have a little pause now, so I should make it.

Rules :

- It's only for gold members.
- Tourney will contain 16 players.
- There will be a single-elimination matches.
- In your matches you can use only 7 units.
- You can use maximum 1 grey drop.
- Here are banned units ( units what you can't use ); other units you can use :

- EDIT3 : DRAGON TYRANT COUNT AS 2 UNITS ( as normal )
- EDIT2 : GA is allowed, it will help little bit.
- As I said, other units can be used.
- Reason why you can't use them ??? No turtle or no bomb matches. That's the why.
- Screenshots are necessary. You can take only 1 screenie from end of the match. If both players confirmed their lose/win, there don't need to be a screenie. Screenshots needs to be posted in thread or PMed to me.
- All games need to be played on Revelation server.
- Dragon Tyrant count as 2.
- Change : 24 players should join, tourney will continue in groups. See the EDIT right down.

Timing:

I hope that this tourney will be so little and will be not longer that 10 days.
Sign-ups start today ( 30th of May, 2006 ) and probably will end after 16 ( and more ... ) players join. First round will start after will be singups over. Info about next rounds will be posted.

Prizes:

I will ask some mod to authorize this tourney for TAL. Please wait about this ... ;)

As I already said, there can join 16 players, other will be substitutes. ( Only if more than 24 ppl join per 1 day, then it will be 24 ppl tourney and I will change it ... maybe to groups :p ). I am specialy holding one place for ~Slayer~ ;) ( but you need to confirm it, man ).

EDIT : We should wait on 24 ppl to join. I hope it will be soon. Then my tourney will start and it will be played in groups. There will be 4 groups and each will contain 6 players. Each player need to play other once. In this round will not move up 8 players. Other 16 move up and there will single elimination matches. I will make groups randlomly. Tourney will automaticaly take little bit more time ( no 10 days but 16-20 days ). { o.O, IBM is going out on 16th June !!! )

And that seems silly to me. If a tournament is restricting units for no reason, it will never have my support.

Tournaments like the beast tourney strive for a completely revolutionized game environment with a fun and colorful scene. Tournaments like Blud and Sniper's FFFAT make creative changes to add little differences that force players to think on their feet. As far as I can tell, this is just begging for big melee-type scenes often found in noob games where neither player can look to higher level strategies.

Well, I guess people doesn't seem to like bombing because of "advantages" that occur, but maybe they cannot handle the DSM and think it sucks, but thats their opinion, without this DSM or Turtling such, it would make an intresting idea to see what 7-unit setups are going to be used.

Dragon Tyrant will count as ... umm ... 2 units. Or ... I am still thinkin' about this. Coz if DT will count as 2, then you should use only 5 more units and can have a good setup. But if that will count as 1, you can use next 6 units, and have 7 units on the field and ... should have better set. Umm... I think that second idea is better now. So Dragon Tyrant count as 1 unit !!!

Important Note : Yesterday I was talking with monkus. He gave me some advices and tell me about my stupid rules :rolleyes: . Yes, when I went to sleep, I thinmked about it. My rules are little bit stupid ( banned units ), but many people signed up, because they know what they gonna do. They haven't any coments, so I can't change my tourney at all. It seems interesting to me, and I think there will be a lot fun too. But I unbanned one of that banned units. It's Golem Ambusher. Yes, you can use Golem Ambusher, that will be good unit to use :). For now, we just need to know if 2 players will join and if yes, I will post the brackets. We need some subs too, so signups are still open.

Ummm... I think that every1 gonna use dragon, but if some1 will not use it, then he can use 7 units. Look : if you use dragon, you will use 7 units ( only for example : dragon,chanty,witch,pyro,pyro,knight,knight) and if you will not use a dragon then you must use 7 units too ( pyro,pyro,assassin,knight,knight,scout,scout). While I am writing these letter, I see that this is so stupid idea. What the heck ! I think I'm gonna change it .. dragon will count as 2, what do you think, Puni ?
