Okay guys, let's all weigh in and start talking about our weight loss goals and progress.

I'm 6'1 and started at a weight of 230 about eight weeks ago.

Today I weighed 214. I feel a lot better, but I want to drop another 10. I started eating smaller portions and keeping my calories to under 3000 per day.

Also, I started doing 1-2 hard workouts (really hard workouts, as in jiu-jitsu grappling for an hour) each week. This has really helped me. I've wanted to drop around 30 pounds for years, but couldn't seem to pull it off. Now I see my goal of 200 in sight.

How about you guys (and gals)?

I don't really need to lose weight.
5' 8" and 120 pounds...

Good job with your progress so far though.

I'm currently being made famous because me and my boss are training someone in a weight loss contest.

A real small town here in Massachusetts decided to do a fundraiser. They took two members of the Pembroke Chamber of Commerce and started a "Biggest Loser" contest. People pledge money for a percentage of weight lost, and all the money goes to the Pembroke High School Scholarship Fund. In the end the loser takes the winner out to dinner, and gets the glory of winning (not a big prize, whole idea is that the kids win). We're training Dan Vail, and President of the Pembroke Chamber of Commerce, and then the vice chairmen is being trained by USA Health & Fitness.

This thing absolutely EXPLODED with publicity. It started off as a small event in a small suburban town. We thought that we'd get in the health section of the local paper AT BEST. Instead, I've been in the Boston Herald (one of the two largest newspapers in New England), the Hanover Mariner, the Pembroke Reporter, and I was on the front page of the Patriot Ledger (other biggest newspaper in New England). We're mentioned on the radio every Thursday morning in Boston and Worcester areas in a special section just for us. We were featured on the 5 O'clock news two weeks ago. And get this, the final weigh in is June 28th... And on that day me, my boss, and Dan begin filming our own MINI SERIES on the Hallmark channel, which if goes well will turn into a regular reality show.

We can't believe how great it is going. Both guys are down a ton of weight, and even better is that they've both decided to keep training after the final weigh in.

Thakkus, 1-2 hard workouts a week won't do anything. I have 3 hour football practices 3 times a week and I work out on my own daily. Run, pushups, core workouts and work on the weight bench in my living room. I'm 6'0" 220 and am about 10% body fat I think.

June 28 is also Fed meeting day :)

V. Nice Ach. Congrats.

Im 5'10 168 pounds. 9% fat. At my worst slobbiness Ive hit 175 so I dont really need to excersize or even eat right to keep my weight down. I swim 1.5 miles every alternate day, soccer for 4+ hours every weekend, run a few miles ever once in a while and I'll be starting Capoeira in a few weeks.

Holy shit, Geeky I always pictured you as a small guy. I never imagined you we're such a beast.

I'm trying to gain some weight for baseball. I started out the season at 160. Im 6 feet tall. I'm about 168-172 now. I hit a nice home run two days ago so I think the added muscle is paying off.

Ach, I am glad I am twice your size. That way I can make fun of you without worrying about you tracking me down. And now that I know what you look like, I will be able to see your scrawny arse coming. It's ok, I just make little people jokes because I have zero agility/speed. That, and I feel like I am living in a doll house. I am so big I can't climb a ladder, sit in comfort on any public transportation, find clothes that fit in a store.

I am 6'4" 270 pounds. I weighed 74 kilos in 7th grade. I am planning on dropping 20+ pounds this summer swimming in the ocean and riding a mountain bike I just picked up to keep me busy when I am unable to swim. The last time I weighed 240+, I was in high school swimming 3 hours a day. I have dropped 10 pounds in 3 weeks by removing sugar from my fluids and switching to fat free dairy products in my cereal and coffee.

You know you are a fat bastard when your weight fluctuates 5 or more pounds per day.
