Sailing from the Great Lakes, The Pirate read into his more creative regions of his mind and saw a blazing red X marking the spot! He then dug into the soils of Banff and Revelations only to have found the treasure that is Pirates of the Seas!
Back when this treasure was nameless and could only be found by those with exceptional determination and a flare for adventure, The Pirate communed with fellow men to conceive a name for such a beautiful gem! Pirates of the Sea came to be the final name though the brilliant collaborating ideas of ko71991 and Forest_Archer.

Many people began to ask to join this new clan, but were told they had to wait until an official clan website, forum, rules, and requirements were set up. The website is linked above. The requirements are as follow.

You must have at least one account on the server(s) Banff and/or Revelations. Golds are allowed in by getting a current member to approve
of their personality. Grays will be admitted by a having a respectable fun personality and a try out.

This thread has been established for members of the Tactics Arena community and the members of our clan to socialize under the black flag that is the Pirates of the Seas!

That has absolutly nothing to do with you telling us who we can and can not invite. When he originally joined us, did you see Pirates of the Seas leaders posting "Do not invite Diamonte into Elite Fox Warriors"? No it is a members choice, followed by a leader's choice to send an invite. Invites are not to be made by outsiders of a clan.

I felt like our clans were getting along fine, if I were you I wouldn't be wanting to make us unfriendly. We are pirates after all. :-)

Hey guys!

I am doing good and I hope you all are doing well too. I am actually working now in Brasil in a berverage distributor and making some money. I will be back in a around two weeks.

My flight went from San Fransisco, California to Miami, Flordia to Rio de Janiero to Belo Horizonte and was very long. On my flight from San Fransisco to Miami I meet an old woman and we talked for about 6 hours about all sorts of things.

I have a few random things to write about. First, I am ordering all my computer and software to start actually creating Pirates of the Seas the flash game. Second, in Brasil I have seen many stores with names like "Cyber Planet" and " Cyber House" which I thought was funny because people pay money there to "cyber"(use the internet). Third, there is a thing in MacDonalds called MacInternet which you pay to use internet on a macdonald's computer while you eat.

It has been lots of fun, but I do miss you guys. Much love,

Atleast try to get them registered. Other than that you can do as much
inviting as you want.

What I usually do is give an interview asking things like:

Do you know line of sight?
Are you interested in forums and other community activities like tournaments?
Why do you choose Pirates of the Seas

Gray jumping is not against our rules. Yet at least.

I like our members to play competitive games to the best of their ability and have fun. If the player feels they can only play well against grays then I think that they should play them.

I don't gray jump, but I don't think it is the end of the world if you do.

I'm not much of a rum drinker. Given the choice, I'd choose Vodka over rum all the time. I was a massive beer-drinker in college (wh bloody isn't ;)) but now its almost always Jack/Chivas thx to my co-workers.

There was a microbrewery near my college with 5$ unlimited beer friday evenings. Aaah, the patchy memories...

Pirates of the Seas - we end Pirates of the Seas as a clan and as a group apply for netjak.com.

Feel free to comment on this idea in anyway you want. We don't have to end Pirates. We could give it up on Banff, and stay seperate on Revelations. Possibly another suggestion.

netjak.com has many quality members, an established active forum presense and more. If I personally were to leave Pirates of the Seas it would be to join netjak.com. I want your guys' opinions on this.

I'd like to see PotS stay. I've never been inlined to join a large clan like nj or AK and be part of the herd. We aren't that big but we all know each other, which I like. If we keep PotS, I'll be staying and probably be going gold in a month+. If we dissolve I'll be go back to being clanless.

TAO_Chaos1- It will be my first project in actionscripting and flash. So yes it will be online like the Tactics. My ideas have the game learning more toward Tactics Core, which I personally prefer. However, I plan on it being a 1-2 players turn based customizable strategy game.

Dape - Sort of. I have changed the majority of it. I will keep changing my ideas around untill I start drawing the graphics out on the computer. Right now I only have sketches and concepts.

Hm. I never thought of something like that. Like User1 and User2 against CPU1 and CPU2?

One problem I immediatly see is board size and how it will fit on the screen.

But wait!
If I ditch my current idea for the board and camera angle and for a more head-on behind the back idea like I had before. It would be like a combination of the Car Sample on this tutorial page and the Star in space idea so that the units would be easyto concentrate on. This would take more time to make, but I think the graphics would be amazing.

Edit: I would add in a reverse to the "car racing" idea. Also the units would not be driving away, they would be still unless moved.
I have drawn up some quick sketches with this new perspective idea. I am really digging it and the ammount of interactivity it adds,. I also would add a "Fog" techniques and only show 5 rows at a time (without pressing up or down arrow) that way space and selecting object far in the distance on accident will not be such an issue.

Studio 9 is video editing software, I believe. Quite decent too.
