let them revenge neg, makes no difference to me. Rep means nothing and they barely affect me anyways. Some can't even affect me (koff*Dark Corner*koff) even when revenge negging. And shatterstar, well said point. Couldn't have said it better.

Well, I'm not sure this is such a bad idea. I, myself, won't be partaking in possing all of the people with red boxes, but i suppose it could be good for someone who wants a second chance....

It's kind of a cycle, you come to the forums , as a new member, and make a couple of stupid posts (make a bad thread or CAU or soemthing) and then you immediately go down to 3 red boxes. Then, because you have red boxes, no one listens to anything you say, disagrees thinking something like "pfft, he has 3 red boxes, why should i read what he writes?".

I think that second chances should be given to a select few people , but this group should go back and review their posts. If their 20th, 50th, etc post are just like their first, then they don't deserve another chance, but if you see their posts getting better as time goes on, then sure, why not give them another chance.

I dont think many, if any at all, are in the red by their 50th or 100th post. They've either learned and gone to green, left or become trolls.

the only exception is z. master whos always red because of his horrendous CAU. even he has gotten a 2nd chance of lots of help/feedback.

lets be frank. this is not the most welcoming community around. it can be in-yer-face. everyone who comes here with intents of permanence has to learn the ropes of these forums. Rep is an important teaching/feedback tool and the beginning and this idea would hinder its role in that.

and really...if someone is that bothered by how those dang boxes affect other poeple's image of you, it takes a minute to start a new accnt from scratch and not make those mistakes from the 1st time.

i can understand if we all negged new kids just because they were new to the point that they were being driven off. I dont really see that happening.
