This is from a standing position, and I am doing it right; the varsity assistant coach personally showed me how to do it, because I didn't know what it was before today. I'm not *positive* on the name of it though. Also, when I mean "jump" while lifting it over my head, it's just a short little hop while exhaling. I saw a lot of other guys doing it.

Pending on the sport the "hop" usually get you used to exploding. Since you're exerting a larger amount of force at the end.

Like in Football at my school, we'd do that, you block someone and you get more of a force...I don't know how to explain it, I just knew what kind of bullcrap they were feeding me at the time.

exerting leg force on an overhead press only serves to strengthen the spinal erectors, and if done wrong can severely injure you.

I've never thrown up on myself like that, but one time I was so hammered off natty ice I was taking a piss behind a shed and literally just blacked out and dropped to the floor and smashed my head off a pile of bricks.
