Now Fred should be happy that the team won, and that they are now in the playoffs, No. If he cares about how he plays, he let down the team, he played like crap, and should feel that way. He didn't deserve to get the win.


I love sports, I am competitive, and when I run into a player who says that kind of crap, I ignore them.
I would rather play my heart out, have the best game of my life, and Lose.
Sure I lost, but you can't take the fact that I had an amazing game.
If I had the worst game of my life, but our team won. I would be stoked, but I would feel like crap for letting my team down on the position I play.


You can get a player who says its all about the Win or Loss, but they truley don't think that, and dwell on the fact that they had a bad game.

For the record I do like to play competitive sports.

I agree with you logic.....but then in the end it all depends on what type of player you are. Take TO....is he more happy with getting a win, or putting up big numbers?

Or take E. James of Arizona, he left a great team to go to a crappy one...in order to put up bigger numbers and be a star.


While I personally would like to play as best I can, in the end it does not matter. I can play my heart out, but if my team loses what's the point? To me, it's all about winning not big numbers.

Letting the team down......wow......who cares? As long as you win, no one cares. Now if you play like shit and you lose, then the team could get mad at you. Otherwise, a few days later no one will care.

When your playing a defence as good as the Ravens, you should be taking the opportunities in the red zone.
The Ravens offence has been a bit slow too, another reason its important for the Bengals to convert in the red zone.

We're not talking about feelings, were talking about players who care about playing there game well.
Havn't you seen people study for tests, and come out with a good mark? They care about playing there game well. The people with the low marks are the ones who don't study, therfore they don't care. When they get a low mark, it brings down the team (classroom/mates/teacher) mark, and success.


And if we take your form of Feeling good you should be winning games. You will have a clearer/focused mind, you will be making the right decisions, and have an amazing game. You also have more confidence in what you do.

The rest of their games are pretty much must wins except maybe the Indy one since they're pretty much going to the playoffs for sure, and the wild card will probably be how we get in.

Even though the Panthers are the biggest disappointment in the league, I think they can pull a win out of this one. The Eagles have lost key players and are at 5-6. If Jake De-la-homie doesn't screw up like most games, the Panthers will be in great shape. GO PANTHERS!!!

I agree with you that in a way. Jeff Garcia can run any offense in the NFL, he's just an amazing vetern quarterback. I mean, he doesn't throw for to many yards but when he throws that ball its dead accuarte to the place he wants it to go. Its just amazing for his age and speed.

TO may not be having a banner year, but he has made some big catches (albeit some bigger drops) this year. But the point is he has the talent, and opposing defenses have to respect it, allowing Terry Glenn to put up bigger numbers, and leaving bigger holes for Romo to put the ball in. But if you notice, when the Cowboys have a big 3rd down, and Romo is flushed from the pocket, almost every time its TO who gets himself open for a big pickup.
