View Full Version : Grey w/Gold Pieces Expiriment

I made a seperate thread so it doesn't keep the thread title An Arcadian Legends loser (that supposedly makes the AL look bad) on top...
Anyway, this thread is an expiriment to see how long it takes to get a grey with gold peices if you start a gold account and cancel it the day after it gets activated as gold.
I just activated my account on Great Lakes called Knight717.

I will cancel it Saturday after I get on and confirm that I am infact gold.
Then I will post a screenshot as soon as I go back grey with gold peices.
Stay tuned for the results.

What the hell is that supposed to mean?
I am one of the few honest people on here... I don't like cheating and if you don't think that "my findings" are real... you can very well try it yourself after i tell you what "will" happen and see for yourself.

It's not frikkin cheating! He can't keep the stats after the wipe anyway.
You're so immature, I don't know how you're old enough to be married.

Not just married.... married w/ child and divorced...
I'm not the one being immature here.

Deactivation time varies for each account. Period. Your findings will only tell us anything if you repeat them over and over again.

I know what it did last time... took 2 days to deactivate. I will compare that to what happens this time.

it deactivates when the next payment is due and you cancelled. so if you cancel two days befor you would pay, it takes two days.
if you cancel right after you pay it takes a month.
come on people, how hard is this to understand?

So whats the point? I dont think any one cares that theres a grey-gold. You are making this a bigger deal than it is.

Because there are grey golds, live with it. I feel it is a waste of thread. It is stupid to think it is unfair to have grey golds. But what ever good luck with this "experiment".

o.O?????? A grey gold is where you cancel you're gold and the wipe hasn't happened, so you still have your gold peices, sorry about that, I just misunderstood.

Deactivation time varies only in how far you are into the last month you paid for before cancelling.
If he cancels a day after he upgrades, he should have a month of gold status in which he is not subscribed, minus a day.
If he paid for 17 days in a 30-day month and then cancelled, he'd have 13 days left as gold with gold units before it turned grey.
No varying results. If his account cancels in a month, that'll pretty much put a nail in the coffin.
(EDIT: I can't quite remember if the system is automatic, but if it's not, you can bet sergiy will be off on the weekends. So if the due date is on a Saturday, you get two extra days. Assuming it's human-operated of course.)

System is manual. And the time DOES vary. Generally they run "sweeps" at random times, and go through cancellations and degold poeople. There is no set timing for this. Once a person is degolded, then they keep their greyed gold account until the next wipe. This means if you degold right after a wipe, and they proicess you in a short period of time, you can have more than a month as a greyed gold.
The period between when you cancel and when they degold you can be anywheres from 1 day until never. (yes, permagolds do abound, usually left that way until a password change is needed)

I want to thank everyone for their feedback... positive and otherwise.....
And I am going to see this thing out.
I am now gold... (was absent Fri, so didn't have access until now)
I am going to cancel it and see how long it takes to go grey.

I see there are a lot of different views on this thread and of my actions... some supportive (thanx) and some not-so-supportive (thanx anyway for your feedback).
I am still gold as of this posting, so I conclude that you can't go and create a gold account, cancel it and then have a grey account with gold pieces, on purpose, as in my theory.
To those of you that supported my curiosity (you know who you are)... Thank you!
To the others that flamed me and said that I was wasting my time, money and reputation... I guess you were right, somewhat. I believe that every experiment is a success if, in the end, you walk away with the knowledge that you set out to acquire.
Consider this experiment over... you can now go about your regular postings.

Haha, sorry star, I just think this experiment is ridiculous, and proves nothing, and I myself was experimenting with the spaces to see if it would show up.
