There seems to be a resurgence of this particular scam. Certain users will state that if you donate money, you will recieve an additional unit.
IF YOU SEE ANYONE ADVERTISING FOR THE SITE DRAGONTYRANT.TK OR ANY OTHER SITE ASKING FOR DONATIONS FOR ADDITIONAL UNITS, PLEASE CONTACT A MODERATOR OR ADMINISTRATOR IMMEDIATELY.
You will NOT recieve any additional units, and instead be subject to identity theft if you submit all required information.
THIS IS A SCAM. DO NOT GIVE OUT YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION TO ANYONE!

There was some guy on legends, Mud Golem was his name I believe.
He would spam a website and it would say, Enter your paypal account and password to recieve a free Mud Golem.

If you're stupid enough to fall for it, then you deserve the punishment ;)

Naivete shouldn't be a crime, stupidity yes, but I don't think this counts as stupidity if it's a very young kid or something, thus z's warning.

True. We should have an age restriction on TAO. Like 10yrs. old.
It gets a little inappropriate ;)

I came across another scam where a guy told me to press f5 for 'cool monsters'. Nothing happens on firefox anyway so I told him to get lost. Do kids fall for that a lot? cause its happened more than once for me.

Alot of newbies fall for that. Just use Firefox and most scams like that won't work. (Except for the Alt F4 one)

No I tried. If the flash of the window is in focus even alt-f4 doesnt work on firefox. yeah I guess people who dont know what f5 and alt-f4 would fall for it. I did fall for a scam where I typed chess expert without the space. I didnt even know you could get booted for bad words then.

I got tired of shutting down websites for TAO personally. If TAO can;t figure out how to do it, then it is their loss.
