Scam? No scam?

Personally, I think he took some sort of drug to get his testosterone level up. With a screwed up hip how could he have moved up about 7-8 spots in one leg of the race?

Comments?

I think he took some type of drug to help him. With a broken hip he would have needed a miracle.

Haha! Long live the Pennsylvania Dutch.

Anyway, I mean, unless they tell me what he took, meh. He could just have a high level of testosterone in his body. I've heard of some guys having low levels. Also, the Tour duh Freedom is pretty lame to begin with...

Perhaps you need to read the articles. He had an exception from the International Cycling Commission to take cortisone shots for his hip... Also it isnt a broken hip, its a degenerative condition that I am unfamiliar with, but he is having surgery to attempt to correct it.

Until his "Example B" comes back, I will stand on the side of Landis.

With a screwed up hip, how could he be one of the best cyclists in the world in the first place?

Answer: Because the hip isn't stopping him

Your logic sucks hard

Thank you for supporting me in the fact that his hip wasnt broken... It was broken pre-2004 (article isnt specific) but rather he is fighting an advanced case of arthritis in his hip, which he had permission to take Cortisone shots to allow him to cycle on par with the other cyclists.

I believe that these shots could have caused the hormonal imbalance which lead to his positive test for high testosterone levels. Which would make it a "negative" test by default. Thus, he would retain the Tour Championship.

I think if you compared the Testosterone levels of any American male to that of a French male it would be higher...you can draw you own conclusions from this theory.

I will have to stay impartial till the test results come back.
Too many athletes take banned substances and point their success to "ADVANCED TRAINING" or a new diet.

But if "DRINKING alcohol" increased his testosterone maybe everyone of those cyclists should grab a 40 pounder chug it back and saddle up. THAT WOULD MAKE THE SPORT MORE INTERESTING!.

Although if i was a betting man i would put the odds at 95% that he did cheat. I mean he is 30, has a degenerative hip condition, and was waaay behind in the standings at that point

I hate people who aren't part of the athletic sport and believe they know what is and isn't possible.

HE didn't have a high testosterone level... he had a high ratio of tesosterone to epi-testosterone, cause by having too few epi testosterone, which may be cause by his cortisone or because of him drinking beers before the 17th stage...
