What is your tactics????

Mine is:
1:Cover your pyromancers and dark magic witch.

2:Put your knights behind the pyros and dark magic witch

3:When your rival attacks your pyro or dark magic witch, attack them with your knights.

And there is my tactics.....What's yours????

Post it here....:D

Bythe way, whatdo you think of my tactics(1-10)?????

0. that is stupid

Put knights infront of your pyros and dmw, thus allowing pyros and witch to attack units infront of knights...knights than create a wall stopping them getting hurt unless opponent uses mages or scout with them knowing LoS

You Might aswell just enter the arena and click and hold the white flag with that tactic

In other words your tactics SUCK, go and find Bottles Grey guide and read it all

That strategy really isn't very clever, nor is it useful...So I rate it a 1, sorry.

My tactic is probably just to get my opponent to attack me(when I'm playing grey), since my defence is so good in my grey set, I could easily take down my opponent's units. :)

P.S. Nice strategy, Soda.

depends what type of game ur playing really,
generally, i try and force situations, eg. wisp in a situation where if they dont remove focus from wisp, ull kill say an archer, but if they do remove focus, ull kill say, a dragon. This puts pressure on ur oppenent and allows you to control the game , prviding they dont do the same of course. essentially, if you can maintain pressure on ur opponent and weaken any units that could potentialy provide a strong counter attack, you stand in good stead to take a win. counter attacks are handy too, say, ur cleric is about to die, put ur opponent in a situaton where if they go ahead and kill the cleric, they'l lose theirs too. Still, perhaps if i thought more like Soda, id win more games 0.o

in grey/free games, knight rotation can be handy, there is no sight more beautiful than seeing 3 knights and a dragon gaining the full benefit from healing, though this can backfire as one well aimed muddy attack can set u back a good few turns.

When i play grey, thats what i do, i'll rate your tactic a 7, cause if you know how to use it, then you'll win most of the grey games.

When i play gold, i put my 3 knights scouts and dragon infront for a full non stop attack on enemy base, i get them so confused when i play them same side, its funny to see how many noob mistakes they make.

My strategy is to win (or at least try :)) I will give your strategy a 1. No offense, but it is pretty useless. Even I could probably beat it.

this thread is pointless. knight wall and scout/mage/whatever behind. its gonna be the good answer every time.

why teh one word post? whats the point? and there are different strategies you can put forward, even for greys, EG, i often use dual barrier ward on my grey with dual witch, that way i can witch, barrier, and then witch the same unit/s through my barriered witch with the second witch. especially good when opponents archer has already moved and u can stay in range of LW:bigsmile: .

My strategy is to not tell anyone my strategy. Which is totally contradicting because I just told everyone that will read my post my strategy...

Touche.
My tactic is to defeat the opponent.
but this is by far the best and most obvious strategy...
...At least it should be; not losing still leaves another alternative other than winning: draw, and nobody wants a tie...that's like kissing your sister.

I play according to my opponents standards. I'm like The Brazilian soccer team (if you know what they say about them) :O

LOL, im serious this is just stupid, ok i will explain to you again. If you have your mages infront of your knights, what i do walk up with a knight hit mage, you walk up hit my knight, i heal than i either hit a different mage, or kill that mage next turn with knight...I will gladly play you if you use that tactic and i will show how i would destroy it...Im Sure most the people who have posted in here would pwnzor you

As i said read that thread by Bottle, and than maybe you would find a better tactic

Far too many factors would need to be percieved to attack either strat. Movement, Recovery, Lw Range, Bw Range, Healing. I do agree with you though, an organized attack would destroy that strategy.

So its Bottle's grey strat?

I like to flank with my scout accompanied by a knight or two. You may lose one knight when you do this, but you typically take out two or three of your opponents units.

Thanks for posting that. I play mostly gold, but lately I have been going grey on a random one. I feel that if you are a good with the grey strat then some of that filters into your gold play. So, any other strategies are very much appreciated. Rep for that.

No Probs, its a very good guide...I think that statement is true. My View is that grey is alot better than gold (Heh. only cause im alot better at grey) but still it think it helps alot playing grey. There are quite a few good guides on these forums you just have to look. Learning such things as scout LoS and the proper chanty use, for noobs who dont know it go to this website...it should really help its where i learnt all of what i know.

I have seen Nads. LonelyTylenol has an Los guide on our (AK's) web site that is based off that. It is one of the first things that I learned when I came to TAO. Nads is infamous for that in my book.

the nads stuff is stickied anyway. the bot guide is like my tome of greatness as a grey. couple fo my non-secret strats:

1. BW. thats it. superior BW use can destroy an opponent. especially in opp-side games. stick the BW 2 tiles up from the leric meaning that any melee unit attacking it is now LW-hittable.
2. On same side, hit the knight with an exposed flank with all your unblockable attacks-LW,pyros, and DMWs. he will a)die or b) retreat and open a hole to rush knights through.
here the only real defense is a BW unreachable by your scout. so look for that before putting your LW into a 4 turn wait. (this is a Bot strategy btw)
3. opp-side - rush 2 knights and the scout up and take the chanty down. ppl love to leave the chanty to hold a flank and when it dies, you're in.
