(Sorry if theres a thread like this one, but i searched and didn't find anything.)
I have a job after school (summer school) working in my dads grocery store making everything neat, arranging the storage room, and sometimes i work in the cash register. For some reason my dad allways has a job for me to do, i only take like 5-10 minute break from a 3 hour non stop work. And sometimes he exploids me (sorry for the misspells), i don't know if he just wants to be hard on me because i have summer school, or he just enjoys making me miserable ;).
I have to manage 5 hours of summer school (9:00 am eastern to 1:00 pm eastern) and work ( 1:30 pm eastern to 4:30 pm eastern). Its horrible, specialy since its summer, and in NY is getting hot like HELL! :p. But, at the end, it pays off, i get $50 weekly, which isn't much, specialy since i have to buy clothe, pants, and other things for myself, i allso need to pay 50 dollars monthly for the laptop i have ( my last computer broked), so its not that sweet overall.
How about you guys, how are you spending your summer?

Sorry, that isn't misuse. NYS Law says 15 minutes after 4 hours of work, and another 15 minutes after 6. By law, he doesn't have to give you a break for 3 hours. Facing shelves, which is what arranging things is called, isn't that hard of a job (its a job for dolts). Cashin' isn't hard either, being friendly to even the assholes is the hard part.

3 hours times 5 days a week is 15, times 6.75 which is min wage. That is $101.25 minus tax and ss and all that. $50 is too little.

Yea, that's what I was thinking... you should be getting more than $50 a week.

If its off the books, don't push anything, but... well it has to be off the books, because thats too little to be on the books. Off the books for alot of jobs is lower than min wage, but you'll want to try and get more than that.

He's probably getting paid under the table because it's his father.
This summer no one would hire me, so I'm babysitting, and cleaning my house once a week for $35 (I split $70 with my boyfriend because he helps me.)
I also do other chores like cleaning out my garage for $10 an hour (which will probably add up to $100+ because it's so full of crap.)
I'm going to the beach alot, and enjoying myself by going places with my friends. I'm going to Six Flags in a couple of weeks, and I'm going camping for 3 days with a large group of friends in upstate NY.
So I'm very busy, and I love it. :)

I stay inside, and do almost nothing throughout the day. I mow a couple lawns for money, and I stay on my computer for almost 11 hours a day. :)

I go to school year round. I'm starting this term's exams this week. Although I'm anxious to get out of university, I'd rather not leave my safe zone. It'll take me years to get a job with these kinds of wages again. :(
I'm paid excessively to be a mig welder on weekends. $900/weekend

High school or university?
How are you making 600 a week already?
That's pretty good.

I was making about $500 a week doing temp factory work awhile ago. It sucks hardcore though, and it's 10 hour days. Now I'm working in a restaurant which is absolutely boring as all hell. I also need more money than I'm getting, because I want to move out ASAP, and it will take too long at this rate.

I recently bought a Motor Boat. So I have been spending most of my Summer
up at my cottage with my girl, and pals.
When I am back home I am getting to the movies, alot of partying, and just
relaxing with friends.
I am not looking forward to school again, but I know in a matter of months I
will be thinking of the summer, and how fast it had gone by. So I just try to
make every day count.
