Hack? O_o

Okay, sorry if this sounds weird or stupid...but I am being serious, here. I just got out of a game with yourmama when I was on my Shake account on the Revelation server, and I think he hacked me. I don't have solid proof, though.

Okay, so the game was going normal until it got towards the end. He attacked my Scout, and my Scout blocked. Then when it was my turn, and for some reason I automatically surrendered. o_O

The weird thing is right when my turn started, it said I surrendered, and my mouse wasn't even close to the surrender button. This is way I think yourmama hacked.

I also believe he hacked because he acted very suspicious. Right when "I surrendered" he left and went offline.

And we all know that hacking IS possible. Most of us were here when Chain Gang was hacking and shit in Rev.

Hopefully someone comes up with a logical explantion, because I don't want TAO to have to deal with another psycho ass hacker, but something tells me that what he did WAS a hack.

EDIT: Forgot to add this...but...if you're on Rev, and you're not busy, play him. Then post here saying if it happened to you or not. Thanks.

WPE doesn't do the same exact thing though. WPE emulates a packet, which is different from actually changing the flash client to send the packet on its own. It would look alot more legit from the flash client, because it can generate a legit packet instead of sending one with the wrong hash.

There is the possability that this was simply a glitch in the game itself. I have known a few people who have said they DC'ed from the game and still received stats as if they won. (seen one thread about it happening too)

Yes, but if it DC'ed him (note I said DCed and still got points as if won) then he wouldn;t have known. And there are a few people who simply are unaware of what their stats are/shou;d be.

Oh oh I see, but when this DC happens does the player still in the gamesurrender? Or does it just show the remaining player in the game that the other player has left the arena?

I have heard it both ways. Sometimes both players lose stats, sometiems both gain stats. Sometimes both dc, sometimes just one. Sometimes the game just freezews, sometimes there is a surrender.

I said "Ah sh*t," because he blocked. I didn't give up, and I said that way earlier in the game.

Also, I have come to the conclusion that what happened was most likely a glitch. I played him once more, and he stated he just started playing TAO not too long ago, I also asked him other questions that made me realize he couldn't know how to hack.

Since zack and I both played him again, and he didn't use any sort of hacks, I doubt this kid is harmful.

The same thing happened to Allstar and I. I'm guessing it's just a glitch.

It isn't a glitch in the traditional sense atleast. The packet had to some from somewhere, it can't be created by a glitch. Maybe that packet was meant for another game, and the sessions arn't handled well within the server side. Some other game might have just lagged out with no winner because they didn't get their surrender packet.
