A considerable amount of days have thus far turned from the golden age of tactics arena to a reverie of what once plagued our community in a beautiful way. What now inhabits our community can only be described as a plague, a plague not of beauty but one of hate and intolerability. While I have my own fingers to point I do firstly and foremost want to establish a serious collective of things that you, the community, can say without debate have gone misguided to create the state in which the community now reside. Please establish any points clearly and in one post so debate does not arise, and if someone disagrees with you they do have every right. Please do not debate who is wrong or correct, just state your opinions without a game of ping and pong.

I think the problem with the community is that people will do ANYTHING for rep, or attention, or both. Another problem that shouldn't be ignored is the amazing amount of stupidity some people can have. On my time in-game and on the forums, I have pretty much learned the speed of stupid, but to see that, all I really have to do is look in the mirror...

Honestly, is it that bad? I don't think it is, and if you aren't having fun why not find a community you prefer more? There are plenty of forums to join and post on. In my opinion, TAO has an easy to get along with fun gaming community. I like it, and that's why I am here. Once I get tired of putting up with something I dislike, I will simply leave. It really isn't that hard.

I think that the forums, in general, are just fine. It's the few people in it who suck that make it seem like crap. All the attention gets drawn to flamming them and correcting their grammar. Yeah? Well who cares about them. Ignore the idiots, send them a neg or two when you don't like what they say. They'll either get over themselves and play nice, or leave.

People just take things way too seriously lately. Time to play around and have some fun, guys! It's a gaming forum. People spend too much time trying to look intelligent and witty than actually being those things. There can be some threads that involve serious and intelligent discussion, but not every single one made needs to be that in order to be a good thread.

Another thing: most of the new members (and some older ones) here are too busy trying to get rep. It's the truth. Suck-ups are everywhere. Screw the rep system. Whether you're a nice guy with high or low rep, people will treat you the same.

As for the thread, it's been done, many many times before. Sayter just released a "State of the TAO" or something like that. The summary of that thread can best be paraphrase as:
-too many arrogant whores
-too many rep/stat whores
and worst of all:
-too many cyberers

I feel we as a community need to come together more to openly mock these people. Well, at the very least, the last category. You see I get a lot of excuses in game such as "well, everyone else does it and no one says anything", so it's time we, as an entire community, started saying something. Saying MORE. Call people on stupidity, mock the cyberers, claim anyone asking for a hot guy is actually a guy themselves just pretending (that's my favorite). Get them out of their usual course of debilitating actions.

Now, after everyone gets all their complaints out in this thread, identifying exactly the problems which face TAO, we can all go back to not doing a single thing about it. :(

That is because you're too slow to understand exactly what I am. Every noob thing someone has done, I've most likely done it first. I made the first thread outright asking for rep. I've done it all. That isn't what is wrong with the community. Spam is okay. When people spam for 40 posts, it isn't.

Actually, as I made the thread about, Adelphia has been giving me problems. I was offline for a good part of last night. I'll be doing something. Not just yet. BTW, I did get LJ. JPeg Windows Account Creation Exploit. I just don't know when I'm gonna use it.
