Chain Scythe
HP: 45
Armor: 15
Blocking: 55 front, 25 side.
normal attack: 14
secondary attack: 24
Movement: 3
Wait: 2 ( 1 if only movement or attack takes place )

A faceless warrior holding a scythe in each hand.

Normal attack aims for any square adjacent to the unit, the unit attacks twice with each of its weapons in each hand. Each dealing 14 damage...this kind of attack can almost guarentee a hit, if used right it can be a very useful unit. Basicly a very effective golem killer.

Field = X

secondary attack: Chain Lightening

Lightening infused in the blade striking all diagonal squares dealing 24 damage each. This attack is blockable.

*This attack also stuns (paralyze) wards for 2 turns, allowing physical damage to be done on wards.
*Activates only when unit has less than ( or equal ) 15 hp

hmm i dont think the 24 attack should be in all four corners. it makes it seem just a bit overpowered for my tastes.

over all VERY nice first unit

I have a question...with the new blocking system, lets say he strikes twice at a knight, both shots front shots, the knight with normal blocking (no plus or minus). Is the second shot more or less likely to hit than the first? Meaning, will the first hit add or subtract from the blocking of the attacked unit before the secont hit or no?

 thank you

 i seriously think this is a very good unit, the 2 attacks in one turn kinda gets rid of the "if i dont get this hit im done"

maybe i should set a hp limit on the 2nd attack...similar to the assassin bomb

edit: yea the blocking changes with each shot

you forgot blocking.

i really dont see the need for the secondary attack. its a pretty decent unit already, though 28 possible power is a bit high. perhaps dropping the power of the 2nd to say 10 or 12 would help.

its decent, i wont say original since i've seen quite a few units like this recently.

Your just now making your first unit?

In the primary attack you said it attacks with both scythes? making it 28 attack unblockable? It should do lesser attack with each, mabye 10, and they sould be blockable. The unit could be able to block 1 and not the other, or block both, or block niether.

And the second attack does 24 damage to each unit? You said that that attack is blockable. So it can't affect wards. This should be lower.

Over all, pretty over powered. If you lower the attack a little on them, then this wouldn't be a bad unit.

I was going to say that this unit was overpowered and a cleric killer, but the low movement to recovery ratio, as well as the lowish health, means a determined defender would kill him before he got to the cleric. However, 28 damage is fairly high. The only other units that can 1 hit a DMW are the Dragon Tyrant and LW, and they both have very obvious handicaps (1 takes up 2 units, 1 can't move). That makes this a little overpowered in my mind. Excellent first unit.

Well well well....... My tourney buddy Chain has started his path  :p

First of all, most importantness, you FORGOT BLOCKING. Suggestion: 50-60 % Blcoking I'd say

Nextly, I love the idea of double attacks, I did 1 of these myself, your's is MUCH more balanced, and for that, I applaud your magificence. :notworth:

3rdly, The secondary attack is quite balanced, but with 2 different attack patterns, it makes it a teensy weensy OVER-powered :D Making an HP limit would be nicer, but still a little strong.

This would make scouts less offensive, +for me, less GA front row crap, +for me, less muds coming in and quaking and KILLING ALL MY SHRUBS!!!! ++++ for me.

Really, the only problem I have with this would be another reason not to use the Poison Wisp, which is getting weaker and weaker with the HP lower, stuff like that.
Usually I use my wisp when my cleric is waiting, my frost would get hit the next turn, and they have a strong unit that can kill 1 of my useful units.
Usually I'd sacrifice a hit on the wisp to prolong a wait for cleric or something. Usually the wisp would be strong enough, if i have armored, to survive and come hide again.

Good job over all Chain, terrific for your first, keep 'em coming. :good:

:offtopic: I found a snickers on the floor! :smile3:

Lightening infused in the blade striking all diagonal squares dealing 24 damage each. This attack is blockable.

*This attack also effect wards

See, the thing is, if its blockable, wards block it. So it can't be blockable, be non focus, and effect wards

Anway, this thing sparked an idea.

:p sry that i forgot th blocking...i knew i was missing something

the unit is edited

i really do think that this game need a unit that is able to strike twice in one turn...or maybe its just me...

The key to winning games in TAO at the moment is basicly combos ... e.g. Mud/GA, etc. Basicly sprinkle some random units on the frontline with mud/ga + some mages and you got yourself a powerful setup. i know cuz i got to 1600+ on an account in legends with the "typical" rush i mentioned above.

There should be a unit that makes people think twice about advancing their golems. The berserker is WAY too weak :smarty: ...in either rush or turtle its basicly junk...

;) its hard to come out with a balanced unit...

:allok: o and thx for the comments

laters ppl i have to go feed dogs and pick up dog poop down at an animal shelter... >_<
