View Full Version : The Blocking System.

With all but a few exceptions, the blocking system follows a regular pattern.
Exceptions
The blocking odds of hitting a ward will never change. No matter how often you attack them with melee attacks, they will always miss, unless paralyzed or in focus. Units like the enchantress and the wisp, ones without blocking percentages will always hit and never change. Units in focus or paralyzed units can be hit no matter what, even if they are a ward.
Every other unit* + or - odds will change in the following manner.
If its a hit, the blocking odds go up by 100 - % chance of hitting. Therefore, with a knight that has +- 0%, and you hit it, its odds will go up 80%. Likewise, if you miss it, the odds of it hitting go down by 20% (100-80% = 20%)
In between turns, the + or - number will go down by 10%.
There is also this
More fun stuff: every unit can go as low as -199 and no lower, and as high as +199 (maybe 198 from rounding?) and no higher, from a 99% chance-to-hit side block and a 1% chance-to-hit side hit respectively. Assuming the blocking system doesn't glitch up as some people claim to have seen.

*Pyromancer excluded. Its odds go down 167 if blocks from side, instead of just 67
Hmm,. coder
if you attack a pyromancer, it has a 83.3 chance to hit from the side. It doubles, so goes to -166.66 which goes to 167...
YTou have a 60% chance to hit a knight form the side. If it misses, the knight goes to 120 (doubling the 60.)
Pyro's aren't an exception to the rule...

Damn. Your right. I was thinking 66 normal blocking, and 33 from side.

Don't we have enough threads for the blocking?

Hm, you're right. A knight at +99 would still have a 10% chance or so of getting hit from the side, putting him up another 80. Edited other post..

Your pyro abuses steriods, and has a small wang as a result.
