Predators to the small woodland creatures, the Phlurtle roam the forests. They are very protective, however, and hide in their shells when greater Phlurtles stroll by. With their small claws and thoughtful minds, these small turtle-like beings make timid beasts.
Health: 37
Blocking: 0% *
Armor: 18
Movement Range: 2
Attack Range: 1
Attack: 10 + 5n (n = opponent's recovery time)
Special- "Hide": Whenever an opponent unit ends their turn on a space adjacent or two tiles away from the Phlurtle, the Phlurtle goes into its shell. It then gains +100% blocking. This affect goes away when the unit dies, moves away, or gains a negative status effect.
Recovery Time: 2

So without magic, how does it die?
Saying he hides into his shell, and then goes to attack a unit...he pops back into his shell and you can't hit him again
[Edit] Neeeevvermind....I realize now you listed that as a special, and not a passive ability like I first thought I read.
With that new knowledge, I want to ask you where/how you see this unit being used. Since it's power depends on a units wait time, I see him rushing up and attacking mages/golems and hiding until he can do so.....as they have med-high wait and no armor.
So he deals 17 to one wait guys, 22 to two wait guys, 27 to 3 wait guys, 32 to 4 wait and 37 to 5 wait...if I read that right? 12+5n? That sounds a little high after 2 wait. But a nice idea.
I think it's safe to assume 'hide' does not prevent poison/paralysis...but I felt like asking another question so there it is.

Maybe I should lower the movement range to 2?
And rarely will you ever attack a unit with a wait time of 3 or more.
And no, poison and paralysis are still able to affect the Phlurtle.

Been playing too much neopets?
I chose you, Pikachu!
I always thought the whole shock-rat concept was hillarious.

hmm...its ok. i cant really see anything wrong with it, but i doubt i'd use it. with that range, other units would have to come to it, and barring the dragon, theres nothing that it can really exploit the power formula on.

All I'm saying is that this looks like a neopet or something. Did you ask those neopet people how to pronounce it? Also, did you get some of your other unit name inspirations from neopets? :secret:
these small turtle-like beings make timid beatsSo, are they rappers or do you eat them?

Would've explained the animal-like units you've been making lately. :)
I think its neat and all, I just don't think its useful enough to use (at first glance anyways). Is the blocking 100% on all sides?

Attack: 10 + 5n (n = opponent's recovery time)
the way i see this is 10 plus 5 times the number of recovery time right?
so it would be like for one turn unit it owuld be 15 damage, for a two recovery turn 20 damage, three turns 25 0.0, 4 turns 30 damage, 4 turns 35 damage! that is like over killing an cleric. one question tho are his attack blockable?

My question about the attack formula is does it use the unit's current recovery or highest possible recovery?

Yeah also is the special passive or activated. From the description I got that it was passive but you allowed uhm Pheonix to believe it was specially activated which is it?

I don't know what your slang means, but as soon as an enemy unit ends their turn near it, it's activated.
