LMAO!!!! nice... personally.. turtling takes skill.. not that rushing doesnt.. but people can beat rushes with turts very easily if they do it right...
i thought i was gonna lose my game once when this guy rushed my turt :) i won the game.. but still.. just to say that turtling in my opinion is a better way to show how good of a player you are.

being able to do both and not limit yourself is better

Imag summed it up quite nicely
I like turtles best. I used to do something between a rush and a spread, and now I'm using a turtle and my results have improved enormously!

 why would you ask somthing like that! Both rush and turtle types have some weakness that will crush them...it DEPENDS on which the player is more skilled at.

I see this game similar to chess. I play a formation that dosn't resemble ANYTHING that you see out there, and I can win 95% of the time. Every n00b wants advice on their formation, and they end up with the same formation as everyone else. I've seen 3 major ones. The turtle, The rush, and the wedge. CAN'T SOMEONE BE ORIGIONAL???

I turt on FPS becuase of the 2 scouts, and becuase of the lack of rushers here.
I rush on Legends becuase Legends is filled with a bunch of dumbasses. :)
Force of Fire, just becuase someone is playing turt vs turt, doesn't mean they're gonna stall.

That's an oversimplification. Even if you're keeping within the three main form types (by wedge I assume you meen anti-rush) there is still an enormous amount of variation.
Also, people tend to stick with certain mainstream styles because they are proven to be at least somewhat effective. Not to mention there is basically no such thing as a person inventing a style. There are innovators, sure, but there are always feeding off of what has come previously. I might have been one of the first people to start seriously messing around with unconventional stone golem positioning in anti rushes, but I wouldn't have had many ideas without learning to both turtle, and seeing the "power anti rushes" that were starting to develop already.
Likewise, although Frylock invented someof the first true "rushes," he wouldn't have been able to do so without others before him messing around with bombs.

i just mean that most of the time people who play by turt wait for who makes "the move"
It's the same thing in chess, but in both games "the move" can be good instead of bad and be the winning move. He who waits for the opponent to take the initiative isn't all that good at this game.

It's a matter of prefernce really. I prefer to turt, but I have an account that solely rushes, and an account that solely turts (yes, they are on Legends)
For FPS, I think a nice balance of both is necessary to be successful, but I think that rush has the slight advantage if used properly, because of dual scouts and DSMs...not neccessarily the most skill needed, but it gets the job done
