I appreciate the good intentions for originating this thread in my honor. TAO has allowed me to make many friends on line and the clan SSTEO that I formed was a clan that "rocked".

But as it is in life, when you become successful, there are those who are jealous of your achievements. I know by my posting a response to this thread that I expose myself to many people, especially to those who are not fond of me. But in fairness to those who know me and for the integrity of this game I submit the following:

I have tried to play this game with honor and integrity. Most of my stats on the Big Kahuna account was gained under the old rules(which I might add was a great advantage for those who rushed and used the ambusher/wisp one-two punch and wiped out the opponents cleric). I am a retired Army Colonel who knows some things about real tactics and am also a chess master which is one of the reasons I found this game intriguing. My oldest son exposed me to this game and I've been hooked on it ever since.

I have played greys along the way which is a great advantage to a gold but it had gotten to the point that I had developed such a rep that no gold would play me. I'm also a proponent of the open floor play meaning if you set your piece on a table be it gold or grey you invite anyone to play you. I learned quickly as a gold if I put my piece on the floor that experienced players using low ranking greys would try to take you out. I for one and dave04 when he was in SSTEO and many other tough greys in my clan on many occasions would beat a high ranking gold this way. If you want a good challenge, try it. The new challenge system has corrected this difficiency.

Anyone who knows me knows that the accusations for boosting are lies. I believe it all began with Phate who I was critical of for killing the Pyro Pyrates clan. Although not my favorite clan, there were many in the clan that I respected and who were very loyal to that clan. Ever since that episode, Phate has never forgiven me for my harsh comments to him but I was speaking to him in good faith as one clan leader to another. Others who are not fond of me took this opportunity to discredit me. I got Mods involved in this and Hugh Junit who got to know me well came to my defense and tried to squelch the rumors but Phate had planted his seeds of bitterness against me well.

I own a real estate company and don't come on much anymore. I had to take over as the Broker-In-Charge and the summer is a busy time for us. But I still love this game and come on occasionally. When I do play on Armaggedon I make it a point to play members from TDP or Netjak to avoid anymore accusations of boosting. On one occasion when I was accused of boosting, I played a netjak player who was disconnected as soon as we began play and when we immediately replayed a 2nd game he surrendered when he knew my set had a great advantage over his.

This response is getting long and I need to head to the office. To those who I played and made the game fun, I owe you a huge debt of gratitude. For those who make it their lot in life to discredit people, get a life! Or pay attention to your own game whether it be in life or on TAO.

i know cause i started TAO in army with his clan :p i had to admit if was fun while it lasted

i've been trying to reach 1700 but i never did...on any server ~_~ it really sucks, i have no idea how tbk did it :(

this game seems more and more like a competetion of luck now :rolleyes: at least in my opinion...o well ... life goes on
