Headhunter

Stats:
Health: 40
Attack: see special
Armor: 15
Blocking: 52% (26%)
Range: see special
Movement: 4
Recovery: 3

Special:
Headhunt: If at any time you move a friendly unit next to, and facing, the Headhunter, a hiring process begins. During the time your opponent's turn goes on, the unit next to the Headhunter gives it a target, attack power, and range.
The target is the last unit that the unit "talking" to the Headhunter attacked. The range and attack power are those of the unit "talking" to the Headhunter.
The limiting factor on this, however, is that the Headhunter has a set movement.
So, on your next turn the Headhunter is able to ensue its attack. This attack cannot be delayed for more than 2 of your turns. If it is, the target, range, and attack power are lost until a new hiring process occurs.
If the attack is initiated, it'll go as follows:
-the Headhunter can move as many spaces as you wish (within its movement)
-if the target is in the Headhunters current range, that unit's space will be automatically targetted for an attack.
-once the attack is complete, the target, attack power, and range are lost
-only human units may hire the Headhunter

*Now, this may seem like a silly unit when you can just use the original unit, right? Well, the Headhunter's attacks are unblockable and only half armor-reducable (i.e. if the armor of the target is 6, the armor would be 3 for a Headhunter's attack).

Seems like just another reason to use the DSM to me. It looks too complicated for practicality and the tactics wouldn't worth the effort in coding it. It also doesn't make much sense to me why the headhunter would use the range and attack of the unit "hiring" it, but that's my flowery descriptiveness-favoring side.

The concept is original, I guess.

Love it.

Its 100% original.

Also great to have you back, and in the forum that you post the most in, lol

i dont think its overpowered. if anything, a bit under. deleryn brings up a good point about it favoring the DSM, but then if you want a unit to talk to the headhunter, its orientation might not be the safest available. that i think is the biggest flaw, that hiring units will expose a side or back to the opponent.

also, advancing units will have a hard time using it. they'd have to advance, attack, recover, attack, retreat and talk to the headhunter. unless of course, the HH is already adjacent.

what about the chanty/cleric?

The DSM has so little blocking it hardly matters (though with my luck I'm about to fight every hit block'd game)
