Arcadian legends: the next generation

As many of you know, gryph/ed retired. With the school year back up, many AL leaders (including myself) are going to be VERY busy. ;) As time rolls by, there are the new generation of people who will, for a while, be the most active in the clan. i have chosen a new group of leaders. The system of leadership is yet to be determined ( no leader account due to lack of cash ) but we are 100% sure this is GOING TO WORK :)

New Leaders:

Anarchy, you have been in arcadian legends for years now. you have always been there to cheer up the crowd, and throw in a racist joke or 2. we love ya man, welcome to leadership.

President Fresh:
Pres, you have always been here to ask if you can help. when someone asked you questions, you never hesitated to help them with a cheerful attitude. you are a true ALer. welcome to leadership.

Scytheman/Aids virus:
Scythe is probably the longest AL member that isnt a leader, he is determined to help anyone, and ready for anything. welcome to leadership.

The passwords will not be changed, so all existing leaders, if you decide to get on, you will still have what you were given.

I hope AL will continue to be as much fun as it always has been!

Gone and will be missed.

Ed was the heart and soul of AL. He tried the most, and spent the most time working for AL. He paid for the leadership account for years, made the website, and actively created clan tournaments. But that is just what he did on the outside. In my eyes, he was AL. He somehow found the best of the best and recruited them into AL. Everyone he let in always had a great personality, and if they didn't currently have a high skill, they got it. All of the awesome shown by the people he got into AL only reflect back to show his own Awesomeness. Never shy to share what was going onto his personal life so it felt like I really knew who he was. He always had some devious plot to overtake another clan, or to start a brutal war. And yet, he was always ready with a joke. He will be sorely missed, and irreplaceable.

Ima Taliban Man was a grey that has been with AL forever. I remember first seeing his name and automatically assumed he was some immature kid. At the beginning, he always remained jovial, and was very light-hearted. To be honest, I didn't think much of him at the begging, as he was just another AL grey. How wrong I was. He goes on later to go gold, and as he went gold he seemed to be an entirely different person. Not that he was bad as a grey, on the contrary, he was always fun to be around, but something changed when he went gold. It seems so long ago, but he has become rediculously mature, and that's a great thing. He is able to represent himself well in every situation, whether it warrants a serious conversation or a hearty joke. Taliman is a thinker, which equates into an excellent leader. He was not just another pretty face, he worked hard at his leadership duties not only in game but in the forums as well. He will be sorely missed, and irreplacable.

Speaker 4 the dead. When I think of s4td, I think clan jumper. There was a period where he would be in three different clans a day for weeks on end, and yet, he was always an ALer. When he got tired with whatever clan he was in, he would always come back to AL. He is a true ALer, no matter what clan he was in at the time. This is not to say that he was never in AL, he would somehow always be in AL, and yet other clans at a time, it is hard to explain. I've had some disagreements with speaker throughout my TAO career, but that has never stopped me from wanting him back in AL, or stopped him from wanting to come back to AL. Speaker would always have something new going on in his life, and he brought a real liveliness to AL whever he showed his face. He will be sorely missed, and irreplacable.

Each of these 3 peope have left in the past few days, and it is a huge hit to AL as a whole.

C.H.I.L.L. has been gone for about a month.
Mantis has been gone for over a week.

I think this is due to vacationing, but I'm not sure. Who know's what they will do when they learn of the recent leavings. Not to mention that school will be starting for most of you soon. This will greatly limit activeness of the clan as a whole.

Also, I will be not be on GL much anymore. I have been telling Ed to cancel zoma for months now (for reasons you don't need to know) and now that he has left TAO, he has finally agreed to do so.

As far as I'm concerned, the quality of GL as of late has greatly decreased, and it is not just because of the leavings within AL, but of other prominent people too.

Sorry to be a downer, but these are all real hurdles that must be jumped over.

...I sadly agree with you, Zoma...especially about Ed. Every time he left for a while we sort of dulled out until he returned. The others also kept the clan alive with their personalities and skill. However, we will strive to keep AL alive... But perhaps an end could result sometime in the future of The Arcadian Legends.

Lame they left, but we're still a clan last I checked. If I get some free time in the next couple of weeks I'll come on to GL and try and recruit some new greys. I don't really know what else I can do at this point, but I think we just need a little more new color in the clan and from what I can see there are plenty of noobs around GL these days. Right now the leaders that I know of are:

Ed (retired), TripleSeven (Rarely on), Bax, Blind Destuction, Mantis, AIDs, President Fresh, Anarchy United, CHILL, and... if I'm leaving you out let me know. I know there are a lot of leaders but there are usually only 3-5 leaders, and then a bunch of old leaders who aren't as active anymore, but I feel should still have leadership privledges. Let me know if this list is inaccurate or if I'm leaving someone off, and then I'll PM everyone I can find on the list with the password.

I think the reason such a large percentage of the clan is a leader is simply because all of the non leaders and unactive members of the clan left, leaving just the leaders and really loyal people. That's why we need to recruit a lot more.

AL has always had a somewhat large amount of leaders, ranging from 4-8 at a time usually. I almost think it's TOO many, but it hasn't ever really been a problem other than maybe 2 times I can think of.

Oh, booger, I am busy as can be and can't stay caught up with this. But as Force said, about him acting in as a leader, I know I don't have leader privilages but sometimes when I was on (i am not anymore for school and real life reasons {no i am not grounded}) I did what i thought was leading not in the actual postion, but I was actively recruting (mantis, and BD i told you both bought The Arena wanting to join) and encouraging others to do the same. I was trying to help us through a rough time, I am glad to see you back Chillz0r and glad that we are coming through this. Keep it up we can do it.:bigsmile:

Philrox, I can make you a banner if you want. If you just need help putting one on though, I can tell you how to do it. Save the file somewhere you can find on your computer, then go to USER CP, and edit your signature. On that page screen to the bottom where it says something about uploading an image, click browse, then find the picture on your computer and select it. After that a preview should pop up showing your banner. Select "inset picture into signature" and it should put your banner in your signature, then make sure you save changes. If you don't want to do it this way, you can always upload the image to any web hosting service and link to it, but I feel like that is way more complicated.
