The stone golem is the main point of it too.

That's probably the crappiest turtle ever.
Ya I know I didn't want to make one so I just took one I made for my friend out of my pic folder. I don't use wards ;)

Turtle is a another term for cyber.

Turtle-ing uses a stone positioned in the back to boost the armor of units that cant stand much heat otherwise: scouts, wisps, dragons(with their wait they are easier targets), and golems. If you need to see a Decent turtle I'd be happy to show you in armageddon server 7-10 est.

He asked a legitmate question, and the forum goes to crap.
A turtle, more generally, is a defensive form. You usually don't attack out with them. You wait for someone to attack you. As a result, you want to have your units closer together because they have to move farther to hit you. This is true in grey and gold formations.
For golds, the Stone Golem is great for this since it adds armor, which makes units harder to kill.
I hope this answers some questions, unlike the rest of the horrible replies (save one) to this thread.

Actually, I used to stone the BW, Cleric, Frost, and Furg, IT was the crappiest ever :p
