Can't log in? Read this first.

If you are getting a connection refused message every time you try to log in, its probably because you have been banned. Why might you have been banned? Well, it should be obvious, using foul language, cheating, etc... The point of this is not why you have been banned, but rather why you can't log in.

First thing you should try to do is log on to another server. If you are still getting a connection refused message, than you probably have been IP banned. The good news is with an IP ban is that your individual accounts have not been banned, but rather anyone from your IP, and your IP address will generally change (Unless you set a static one, it is likely DHCP) and if you set a static one, you probably know how to change your IP. You should just wait a few hours. If you know you haven't broken any rules, there is another possibility. You now have the IP address of someone else who has gotten an IP ban in the past.


Quick, simple explaination of what to do when you get a "Connection Refused " message. Wait it out.

See, Most don't know that they have gotten banned. This is mostly an explaination of what has happened to them. Many do not understand they got banned, and do not understand that they could have gained the IP of someone else that has been banned. This states is what the problem is for many

Or you could try reading my post in that thread that you most likely read since you made this thread.

You know how you log on with different Windows XP accounts?
Like maybe you have different ones for different family members...
Well if you only have one, then create a new one and it will work..

Maybe you didnt get that, But when you first turn on your computer, you have to click an account to log in with if you use XP. So just use a different one and you should be able to get on TAO. I was not able to get on for almost a month and then somebody informed me of this and it worked for me.
So give it a try and see if it works.

If that doesnt work, then you were possibly banned.



Because that is what is ACTUALLY happening to people... ever since they added the anti-cheating function.

It does it to me in the middle of a match, the screen will lock up, then kick me out, and send me back to the login screen and won't let me back in :angry:
