I know this thread is months old, but it's on the front of the GL section, so to hell with it!

Of old:
ScoutBlade, who was a very skilled Gold Jumper who could be remembered for downing the Grey Jumper account, which got to 1450+ stats (when that meant something) ONLY jumping greys, with an anti-grey form and anti-grey strategy, and Cephas, whom I was never able to spank. (I put Cephas on old because I haven't seen him in-game for months. That could be my fault though.)

Of new:
JaRs, Tecibbar (yeah, these two still play), and perhaps Shiny Flors, whom I was also unable to spank. :cray:


Take note, however, that I was the only one of those six, or any of the ones I did mention as the best, to use a spread... :happy:

It would have to be either 2 out of 3, or a league style tourny. Personally, I would vouch for the latter, purely because we can see how everyone rates against everyone else. However, something like this would be way to difficult to organise and run properly, simply due to the number of greys that would be participating. Maybe limiting the tourny to 32 players or something (8 leagues of 4?), but then you've got the joys of saying who can and can't play :\

The last competitive freestyle game I played on GL (i.e. one for stats) was on the 9th of January, against †Dunker†. Furthermore, I free on GTwelveL, and on Revelations on Magician (zoma, bludz and others can testify this if you don't believe me)

My form varies on a day-in, day-out basis, yet that doesn't stop me playing. Hell, Lone_Star beat me in turts recently (although I couldn't hit anything with a percentage =\). I've never seen you play gold, and rarely see you play grey, the latter probably because you play on Army and Banff - both servers where I'm not active.

One more thing: If you don't like playing people when you're "not on form", how often do you actually play?!? :confused: I mean, every time I've asked you for a game you've said no...coincidence?

umm, for the record. I still haven't played mag in a free game, but I have asked several times. Also, I beat HW grey/grey in the only grey i played him. I'm sure i still have s/s of it too ;) (also 1-1 with him in free) That being said, soda was an awesome grey but i read that he's gone now, so i think that leaves powza up there for top GL (notice it says GL, tis means people who play on GL) grey. :)

On the other hand, there is one person I believe to be underrated player all the time. That's Thash500. ;) He had managed to beat BaxVarlet by seven units and almost flawlessed Anarchy_United in HA vs AL war. Quite frankly, I have yet to beat him in a gray game before. One of the spectacular thing about him was his superb luck. Don't expect to get lucky hits with him!

Too bad he has quitted playing this game for more than eight months(Notice how I used "quitted" instead of "retired." I believe it is a bit too imaturish to relate quitting to retiring. ;)). Of course, you would want to play him now based on what I said. :)

But SERIOUSLY. I played Thash when he was a noob (pre-transformation) and when he got good (after-transformation). There was a very stark contrast between the two. The first would get beaten by me by a margin of 6-7 on a consistent basis when even I was rusty, and the second would manage to lock wits with me in a game for two hours in which we only traded 3 units each and had to make every move defensive just to counter the other (that one ended in a draw). Thash never beat me, but given the opportunity he very well could have.

He was, indeed, very much underrated, but I wouldn't want to share a clan with him. No offense, JJ, but Thash heckled me almost nonstop for a year, and while I made my peace with him for it, it was still kinda, well... :bad: Yeah.

powza beat me twice today
first time, for tourny game (sry NJ i failed you), i used default and he used a pretty good turt..reminded me of soda because he used pyro

and that game he beat me by like 3-4 units, but it was soo much closer than 3-4 units sounds just by the way the game went down

the second game was just as close but he still beat me by a couple units
but that game was just fun, we were both overly reckless...almost always going for a kill when our units were at like 10 hp :p

I really don't think you can say though, because there were so many over time who were good that simply never played. You also have golds who excel(led) at gray, like zzzaacckk and realist. Tough to compare, really.
