Also, I think there is a clear difference between who is the best at grey vs greys and the best grey vs golds too. They would be 2 different people.

Soda is definetely up there I would say. He is awesome at dropless games. Then again I believe anyone can beat anyone else on the right day. I have heard nothing but good things about Zoma's grey skills and mich's too.

When it comes to beating golds Spirit_Monger and Eagle24 have been doing some serious damage of late.

Actually I would say LT is one of the best too in my opinion. He is such an underated player, in grey and turts. I think he is one of the best all rounders and he rocks at grey.

Played a couple of games with Mich, we drew the first and I won the second. I would say luck was on his side, but he is very good. Powza is up there ofcourse, how could I possibly miss him? :) No one else who is good plays.

mich or Hoolwath are some of the best greys out there right now. Some of my favorite's from the past I always loved playing were TCBB, Bane, JaRs, JeRs, and a few other netjak and BG guys that I don't recall right now. LT was good but I wouldn't call him the best. Cephas will admit he is not the best.

I don't recall playing Powza or Soda so I can't comment on them.


If I had to pick one though I would pick Hoolwath. But don't tell him that, it'll go straight to his head.

It was a tag tournament and I started with seven units only and still got you down to knights. :tongue2: How could you even mention it? :) I did not have a scout in the game too...

Grrrrr. Well this was pretty short. I got his assasin for nothing. Later in the games, exchanged my witch for his scout and chanty. I lost my chanty due to his witch side block and he killed my assasin from the front. My knights didn't block a single side knight hit. I was able to kill his 2 hp cleric in the end, but my knight didn't block.

Noda should not have any troubles with him, though.

A agree, as grey games go I don't have a set plan going into a game. It will always depend on my opponents form, and their early moves. Sometimes I will try and lure a few of their units in, and kill them, or sometimes I will slowly inch up on their form, trapping them in. But if you have a certain amount of skill, you will always have a chance against anyone in grey.

Ducki didn't create GJ, he was a leader of it. He was also one of the best in his time hool. I know I forgot yourself and xyx. I was just throwing names out.

I've played many of them and I'm nowhere near one of the best at grey. I didn't win most of the matches (though I beat JaRs I think), I could see that they weren't as skillful as people made them out to be.

In fact.. none of the greys listed comes to mind as amazing to me. I haven't played all of them.. but the ones I have played just didn't impress me that much.

If I CAN win, even one out of 4-5 games, I just don't think that they're that amazing. I am not a very good grey, and the best grey on GL should be able to catch me on that for 10 + games in a row.

i remember playing a grey on GL named shadow555 about 2003 his stats were 1478 he beat me by luck his scout hit my DT with 90% blocking my DT died with 12 HP his scout was 5HP but that is probably the best grey on GL...

Actually I would say LT is one of the best too in my opinion. He is such an underated player, in grey and turts. I think he is one of the best all rounders and he rocks at grey.

ScoutBlade, who was a very skilled Gold Jumper who could be remembered for downing the Grey Jumper account, which got to 1450+ stats (when that meant something) ONLY jumping greys, with an anti-grey form and anti-grey strategy, and Cephas, whom I was never able to spank. (I put Cephas on old because I haven't seen him in-game for months. That could be my fault though.)

Of new:
JaRs, Tecibbar (yeah, these two still play), and perhaps Shiny Flors, whom I was also unable to spank. :cray:

Clearly, guys, I was never the best. At the very best, I would have to say I was at Hoolwath or Ricardu's level, having consistently close battles go either way with both of them, or perhaps Geeky_Bastard, whom I was also having close battles with when I was grey/early gold. Hell, I even gave Match Strike and Hatchet Warrior a run, once or twice, although I'd say they are probably my superiors. However, I would not even classify any of the six of us as the best, even if we did shake up the place a little bit as greys in '05.

Take note, however, that I was the only one of those six, or any of the ones I did mention as the best, to use a spread... :happy:

Scout, JaRs, ricardu, and Geeky didnt totally impress me. I'd have liked to go back to play Scout or JaRs again for more information than one game though.

Hatchet Warrior beat me.. but did make a stupid mistake in allowing me a 35% shot at winning, and I had made an incredibly dumb move that game. I'd still put him as pretty good though.

Never played Match.. Hool I found was good, but I got the luck.
