You click the buttons(as many as you need) and then click the "post reply" at the bottom of the screen.

This is very odd.

I can't think of any reasons as to why this would be happening to you.

Good luck, though.

hey cs,

do the other AJAX features work for you? For example quick reply or rep?
My guess is that you have a problem with the javascript ... it is enabled in your browser, right?

What browser do you use (Type and version)? What type of comp?

i love it how people post things like "TAO is broken" when it's just their own computer that is messing up :p

Do you have any firefox addons? Does rep work for you? Are you specifically clicking the POST REPLY button and nothing else after clicking the multi-quote button?

Are you sure you are pressing the multi-quote button and not the QUOTE button?

Jeffery

But it must be TAO not working because I am the only one this is happening to. Shaddup

cs,

in the firefox menu, click on Tools --> Settings --> Privacy

Switch to the "Cookies"-tab page.
Click on the button "Show Cookies".
There should be an entry "tacticsarena.com" in the list, which should look like this:
http://img206.imageshack.us/img206/3715/cookiesug5.jpg

Do you have the line i marked blue, called "vbulletin_multiquote"?

Weird
Try this: delete the whole entry "tacticsarena.com" from the cookie list.
On the settings page "Cache" click the "Clear Cache" button.

Close Firefox, reopen and come back here. You'll have to log in again.
Then click on a random multi-quote button, followed by "Post reply".

Then please tell me it works :)

I don;t have it either, but it works for me. ;)I'll take that wink smilie as "i know what i'm doing" ;)

Can you please post a screenshot like Jeffery did, so that all your TAO cookies are visible?

I highly doubt cookies is the problem. It is more likely to be a java related issue.

EatMine

Yes, probably some Mac specific problem with javascript/CSS and cookies ...

I'm close to giving up ...
Searched google for MAC problems with AJAX, but found nothing except "Clear Cache".

Let's see if it is the TAO template:

cs, go to http://demo.vbulletin.com
Log in with:
User: Demoec18
Password: 561df286

Then you get to a forum with only one thread:
Log in to this forum with:
User: Admin
Password: admin

Try to use the multiquote feature in this thread and tell us if it works there ...

so yea, it works there, but still not over here.

EatMine

Well, sorry man, in that case i doubt there is much hope for you.

If you really did clear your cache and even after reloading the javascript-files it does not work here, then it most probably is some parsing problem of the MAC Firefox. But i can't help you there. Don't have a Mac to debug the scripts.

If you find more users with that problem, maybe sergiy is willing to look into it.

cs_zero
08-25-2006, 08:59 PM
reload javascript file?

EatMine
08-25-2006, 09:07 PM
When TAO upgraded the forums a few days ago, i had problems too, because my browser didn't load the new files, but took the old ones from the cache (and these did not include the new features).
After clearing the cache, the new site was loaded completely (including all scripts and stuff) and all problems were gone.
That's why i suggested clearing your cache, closing FF and try again.

But since that doesn't help you, it looks like your browser has a problem with the TAO pages.

Have you done the following steps:

Macintosh User Support - How to Enable Java Scripting in Mozilla's Firefox Browser

To properly view and make purchases from this website, you must enable Java scripting in your web browser. To enable scripting in Firefox, please follow the following directions:

Open Mozilla Firefox. Click Tools on the menu bar at the top of the window. On the Tools menu, click Options. On the Options dialog, click Web Features in the left navigation panel. SelectJ Enable Java and Enable Java Script. A check box should appear in the selected check boxes. Click OK. Your changes are saved and the Options dialog box should close. On the browser window toolbar, click reload current page.

He skinned it....

And that changes quite a few things. It could be all kinds of things causing the problem now.
