What exactly do you mean with "robbed"?
In case you're units were deleted or something like this, Paypal has nothing to with it, since it doesn't know your TAO password.

Paypal is as secure as any other online monetary transaction site. Yes, scammers do get passwords for accounts, but only through user stupidity. The same goes for accoutns on TAO. No one "hacks" accounts. Users simply make them with weak passwords, or they share passwords.

No, Paypal isn't safe. All of us golds are going to get jacked of our money and accounts because let's face it our passwords are dead simple.

My passwords aren't simple, I use a pass generator. Alphanumeric. it'd take you a while to break mine.

your comp's virus scan has nothing to do with paypal's security
Paypal is as secure as using your bank debit cards or credit cards for the most part. If your foolish about how you access your account, and on it's security settings, you're gonna get burned. Same as anything else.
Simple tips:
-Keep a hard to guess password (non-word pw using letters and numbers)
-NEVER access the paypal site except through typing in paypal.com or through a bookmark you made to the paypal site. (common tactics is to send false "paypal notice" emails which when clicked to the link through the email lets them track what you put into the account info spot)
-NEVER perform a transaction to a party you don't recognize

My boss was bidding on a few vehicles on eBay. Well, the last two vehicles he didn;t win he got what is called a "second chance" offer. This means the winner backed out, and as the second place winner, he could choose to take the vehicle at his bid.
Well he went back and forth on the details with "the guy" who's auction it was supposed to be. But the guy wanted to charge him $600 for shipping the car. When my boss said he'd rather pick it up, the guy got antsy. So he called up the dealer lot who posted the auction, and TADA, no one there had sent a second chance offer. It was all a scam.
I have now instructed my boss to never do anything like that without checking with me, so a quick check can verify information.

Paypal is very secure i use it for my gold account and other things and have had no problem, if you have lost units or your TAO account has been "hacked" then it has nothing to do with paypal what so ever.
