Could BG ever come back?

I am just posting this to see what people think, but I for sure think they could, after all there are still a bunch of BG active (obviously not nearly as many as before) and they are highly skilled, respected, and involved in the TAO community. I am not saying that BG has faded but if they could come back to their days of ruling TAO.

no. The smartest thing they did was end. The problem with most clans, like most sitcoms, is that they just keep going on and on and on way past when they need to. Leaders step away leaving the clan with people who aren't fit, and it turns to hell.

BG had the insight to understand this, and so ended their reign at a peak. Let the memory live like that, not as some failed second try.

well.....a few years ago, BG was an unstoppable force...they had almost every single good player on GL (i dont know about the other servers cuz i never played on them) but now all BG has is a few great players, that are retired...or they just dont play anymore. BG could come back, but only as a standard clan...they can never be as powerful as they were.

BG(what i've heard) are like Guns N' Roses. They came, they didnt bother to look around, they just bloody conquered. They reigned for a while, and then poof, just like that, they were gone. They had a rise and no fall. So if they're smart, both BG and GnR will let the legend live on and not bring back a version 2.0 that just fails to live up.

No, BG could not come back for a variety of reasons.

1. Achilles and some of the other leaders don't want it too.
2. The majority of it's past members are scattered around several other clans on TAO. I don't think many of them would return to BG.
3. Former leaders have started their own clans. They aren't going to abandon their new clans for BG.
4. Several of the past members have retired. I don't see them unretiring. They are all busy with life now.

I think it would be cool to see BG come back just because they were such a powerful clan, and I think that it would also be cool to see some of the old members come back.

It would be cool if BG came back, but it's probably not going to.
And, I bet some of the old members would come back, if monkus convinced them too, so I think it actually could come back, but just not as strong as it used to be.

BG will not be back for the reasons Shiny mentioned. It was time for it to end, so it did. Go find another clan. Berz has made an excelent clan that I would recomend. As well SI holds the same sort of standards as BG just like Netjak.

You might modify that to "tried to" since BG never really ended, and people still keep trying to keep it alive.

Zack I was not saying I disliked BG in any way, in fact I love it and don't plan on leaving, having people not on a lot is not a problem with me, I was simply posing a question and getting people's opinions.

I can hand you examples of why this is a bad idea:

KOTR. Old school clan that has been remade a million times. Each time trying to "reclaim" it's former glory. While many members of KOTR are great people, the constant attemt to relive the past is what will continue to make people see them as Rocky IX. Sure, it;s Rocky, but why the hell is it still going?
