View Full Version : Warning before unit drops

I've missed several unit drops while sitting in the lobby.
A couple times, I'd challenged somebody, and we were on our way to the game when the drop was announced, and missed it by seconds.
It would be great if instead of, everybody currently playing, it was, unit is dropping, must be in a game within one minute to be playing for it. If you're currently in a game, or you make it into one, the winner gets the unit.
It would also prevent beating an opponent, then a drop starts right after.
Anybody else interested in this?

Wouldn't that allow people to join 'mock' games to earn drops if they were coordinated enough? I can definatly see clan members setting that up, nevermind a person with two accounts.

The only way I would call it cheating is the people with two accounts. And they cheat anyway. Losers. :)
If clan members go in, only one can win the unit, so it's still up for grabs.
And announcing it would have a purpose, to get people into games, which I'm sure it would. :)
That's the way I see it.
Although like any idea, so many things could go wrong. :)

If the administration wants to increase the amount of dropped units, this would help. Or, they could just increase their frequency again. But all this would really do is create a mad rush to join a game, and thus instead of each drop resulting in one unit given per game going on, it would result in one unit given per pair of players in the lobby.
If the administration thinks it would be profitable to increase drops thus, so be it. But they have the statistics and information necessary to make a decision about whether this would be profitable; we do not.

LOL, it would be funny to see the lobby sudenly empty right after a unit drop is WARNED. I'm definately a supporter of this. (not because it would be funny)
