Want to REALLY have fun?? Grey jump them with a gold account, but only use grey pieces. First people are shocked to see a gold jump a grey, then the grwey is shiocked to see you using just grey units.

I pay money to play on a server with gold units. If no golds are going to take up my challenges, why should i waste 5$ a month just sitting in the lobby of the server i want to play on looking for games.

I don't do it for stats, i don't give 2 shits about them . I just would rather my money not go to waste. If I wanted to play grey, I would make a grey account, however, I like my gold pieces, and i like playing on banff. Why should I not play as much as possible?

Oh I accept all challenges. I lost to Glad 4 times in a row, then beat him once and gained more stats than I had before, for example.

If your purpose is to get stats on banff, jump high-stated greys with a GREY SET. If you want to get a gold game, go to rev. That is the solution. :)

I have the same problem. No one will play me. It is that simple. If the guys know I turtle they say they free only, I then see them asking for turtle games. There are guys with stats around 1100 that give me no stats, who play me 7 times in a row, just to gain some skill and practice, I give them the time because I have no need to gain stats, just to play a game. I set myself challenges. (You can check out my thread about it)

When the golds do not want to play me, I set a grey and LAY DOWN my piece, I fish for games. I got jumped by golds, yea. Luckily, I beat them all. I got jumped by a gold using grey units as well, though.

I remember me going on a 750 grey some time ago. I asked "Golds game?". Realist replied (I did not know him then). I jumped him and he had grey units. "Hah, this will be easy" I thought. "Oops, forgot my pyro" Real said, "Oh nvm, I think I can pull this of with 9 units only." "The guy is overconfident", I thought. He TRASHED ME, I remember killing one of his units, while he killed 4, I asked for another game, he agreed, using 10 units, he trashed me again. I, all frustrated, said I got trashed in the BG clanchat. And Cavour explained that Real is xyxaxy, the best grey in the game. I had a new goal since then until I beat him.

That means there are good 750s too. I was in the first 50 with my grey account back then.

I think what you're missing is that we pay money to play gold on banff. Why should we go back to using the free units if we pay for the gold ones. I don't pay for gold for any other reason than that. I don't chat too much in the lobby, and I don't care about the color of my name.

If i want a gold game, I'll go to rev , but if I'm just going to end up playing grey on Banff, I should cancel my account immediately. No point in continuing to pay money for an account i'm not going to use to the fullest extent...

i went gold little under 2 weeks ago. the frist time out what i got from several people there were that they thought i was some 1500+ gold from another server who had recently gone gold on banff as well. they got this idea from ym forum prescence. hence they were afraid to play me since they thought i'd destroy them even if my stats didnt indicate that. from that i figured that people who really are at the top would have it bad on that sense.

since then i've proved that im rather noobish at gold and done everything i can to eradicate this flase reputation. now i;ve shown that they dont have an excuse to not play me. yet i get the

random gold: "nty"
me: "why not"
random gold: "dont feel like" or "fixing my setup" etc etc.

i've even mentioned once that i'd surrender if i was winning if they gave me a good game. still nothing. i wasnt sure if that qualified as offering to boost so i havent said it since.

yes i do go down the list and ask every gold for a game. couple fo times i've gone into the grey list as well. i still dont get them. then i plonk myself down on floor 9 and get jumped.
i dont know, maybe its like this for all golds, but im a 2-weeks old at this, and coming from grey, i find this frustrating.
i just aplpied to join SI since bottom line is i want good gold games, and getting jumped isnt giving me that. the moment i satrt getting games, i'll be more than incredibly happy to not get myself jumped.

if anyone's got more suggestions for getting games, i'll be glad to try them.

I hate grey games, 15 minutes and not 1 unit was killed. I had something more important than TAO to do, and didn't feel like spending an hour of my life on a boring grey game.

If you do not play golds who do not give you stats and all you except from a game is to gain a few stats, than you most probably ARE a stat whore. And I negged you because I fight against grey jumping since the day I started playing. That is more than two years now, so I basically disagreed.

I am not saying greys are unable to beat you. I myself have beaten a 1700 stated gold, sameside turtles with my grey, he was seventh those days, but does not play the game anymore. If you play double scouts only, many greys could beat you. All they would need would be a tiny bit of luck. But it still stays unfair, since you have the unit advantage and players are allowed to whine about it.

And if TAO really is boring you then just take a break from it, play grey 2 or 3 times a wekk and after a month or 2 come back. I've done this a few times, and everytime I come back it seems more entertaining then when I left. Even to much of somthing good can be bad ;)

But really, I want a game (doesn't have to be grey I guesse) with you, even when you crush me at least you'll know not everyone out there are stat whore's :p
