Horse Unit:

This unit can hold any human unit on its back. It would improve the movement of the unit by 1-2 squares in any direction. Riders would recieve different weapons because of their different positions(the knight would recieve a lance attack like the beast rider or the assasin would now throw her blades at the victims). The horse would also improve the defense of the rider by 5. All attacks at the horse are automatically diverted to the rider(if there is one), but all magic attacks will hit both the unit on the horse's back and the horse itself. The horse can be killed with on unit on its back. The unit would then be moved to the ground and recieve its normal weapons and attack in its normal way. If unit on the horse dies the horse then becomes a single unit. The horse alone counts as one unit, but with the knight or scout on it, it would count as two. This unit, like the beast rider, wouldn't allow friendly units to pass.

When the horse has no rider its stats are:
HP: 40
Attack: 17
Armor: 10
+ 2 turn recovery
30% blocking(15% from the sides)

When the horse has a rider its stats are:
HP: 40
Attack: -
Defense: Same as unit on back + 5
+ 3 turn recovery

Intresting idea. But, say, when a knight is on it, the knight gets a +3 turn recovery instead of +1 for 1-2 more movement. I'd probably take a normal knight. The idea is still good but you need to define it some, like, will the unit move to allow frendlies to pass in the same square? and does the horse count as 1 or 2 units?

Next time you do a poll make it so you have to select just one. About the unit... it's a good idea, I think I've read something similar to this before but I do like the concept of a horse, of course the game would have to go under a little overhaul due to the fact of mounting the horse with a rider.

I think you should make it so any non-beast warrior can ride, even golems

Yes, I did place this before, but I didn't like te way I set it up, and it wouldn't let me delete it. So, iI just placed it again. And I don't think the horse would work with a golem or other beast(like a dragon tyrant) would look kind of akard on the horse. Thats basically why the horse is the way it is.

I think that you can be able to jump onto a horse, while on the horse this could be your stats

for non magic units
damage + 5
movement + 2-3
Recovery+ 1 or 2
blocking Minus - 20% - 10 from sides
armor +10

Magic units

attack range + 2
(if a cleric get on the steed its healing power is an extra 5)
Movement +3 or 4
recovery +1
blocking minus - 10 on front -5 on sides
armor + 10

beast and golem units may NOT ride the steed

the horse would count as one unit and it can be killed heres its stats
it would have 20 or 25 hp and when attaccked the damage is split down the middle between the two(if an odd # more damage goes to the horse)

IT takes one turn to get on the horse and the recovery for that one turn would act as if you had just walked and not attacked for the unit

if your unit is on a horse for more than 3 turns it automatically gets off and the horse and the rider must wait one turn before getting on and rididng again

that was my unit imade not too long ago he was refering to,

Lordofzrings:

I had thought about a unit being able to climb onto the horse, but then I realized that the game would have to go over some serious overhaules to make that possible. And I totally agree that golems and beasts should not be able to ride on the horse, it would look kind of akward.

Sorry, forgot to mention this:

I don't think the game would have to undego any changes for the rider to be mounted on the horse. In the set-up section of the lobby, you would drag the unit you wanted mounted on the horse over to the horse and place him on it.

Nah, that would just switch the horse and the unit you want to be mounted
