This is my first time to these forums, but I will try to be brief and to the point. :*ph34r2:

Just recently, I was playing against a gold account player on the Banff server. As the game neared an end, I held the upper hand and was about to win the game when this gold member suddenly seemed to become desperate to make me spell out "riddik" for whatever reason. Granted, I should have seen this coming, but when I finally became frustrated with his inept attempt at spelling, I typed out "riddick" like he'd asked and ultimately found myself disconnected from the game. :huh:

Naturally, I was just as angry with this player as I was with myself for falling for such a stupid trick. Sometimes I wonder why a player would be so shameful and dishonourable as to resort to such measures, but alas, I suppose I am to blame for falling for it. I will attempt to hold back my anger and not release the name of this player and thus publicly ridicule him for, let me put this lightly, "almost losing" to a grey account player.

However, in order to prevent future events similar in nature, I'd like to ask where I could find a list of words that, when typed, will get me disconnected from a game. Thanks for your time ;) .

Generally youll get your list just by playing. Nigeria is a commonly used one. Just think how the word is spelld, and dont type it if it might seem bad. If someone asks for you to spell a word or asks a totally unrelated question, then dont answer it, or type N igeria. I was asked what nation begins with n and ends in geria......

Well.. the only "bad" words that aren't censored are ass (because of the unit assassin) and shit (which turns into ####).

If you suspect the word you're about to type has a bad word within it, you might not want to type it.

Also, all variations of shit are blocked. So if you typed "rush it" because of the space between the sh and it, it will take your two words as the word "shit" and will make it ####.

Other common tricks are "I have a gold account, if you want it surrender" "Press f5" "Press control + r"

If they do one of these.. tell them "Holy crap I got a dragon, thanks!"

It'll confuse them.

I've tried to get it from whatsisname before. 'e didn't give me 'em

Also, what he did is cheating. He'd get deleted. If you had evidence.

I feel sorry for you dude, but when you say shameful and dishonorable. It's a game. See what I mean? In real life you can be those two things but it's a game. You might have been playing like a rapist. You never know man. Don't trust anyone :hides::p

Yeha i was on army today and it was my turn and i clicked on my enchantress to paralyze and it didn't do anything i can't write anything and the clock just kept going and when i ran out of time it exited and it said disconected! damn! and dude, sorry for that. :p

Thanks for the welcome :hi: Hehe... another forum to help me procrastinate on my homework.

I see some great points of advise. However, I do agree with Blood and Gore... in the end, it's just a game. I suppose this player could be deleted if I presented evidence, but the gold member seemed like a pretty nice guy until he began to lose, so perhaps a warning to him would be more appropriate at this time (if that can be done). Ultimately, though, I just want to avoid falling for this trick for a third time ;) .

Well, as we all know, inside every computer there is a little man that makes everything work. Just give the case a little nudge and tell him to stop sleeping on the job :p

I feel for you. Take a screen shot and give it to a mod next time it happends. He will get deleted. I used to fall for the "what does als stand for."
