The Sorceress from Diablo 2 is being carriered over to TAO

Appearance: D2 players know what I'm talking about. For the rest of you, think Enchantress, with slightly more clothing.

HP: 30
Attack: 24, 20, 16, 12
Recovery: 3
Movement: 3
Blocking: 20/10%
Range: 4, 3

Chain Lightening: Okay, the power needs some explaination. The Sorceress shoots a lightening bolt at an enemy within four squares of her, dealing 24 damage. If there is an enemy within 3 squares of the target, it is struck by the lightening, taking 20 damage. If there is a 3rd enemy within 3 squares of the second unit hit, it is hit and takes 16 damage. From the 3rd target it can go on to a 4th unit or back to the 1st or 2nd.

meteor is clvl 30. much too powerful.
chain lightening is only clvl 18, though it doesn't weaken in D2.
It does however, in WC3

EDIT: Forgot to mention, though I shouldn't have to, but the chain lightning is unblockable.

I think it is waaaaaay to strong! If it has the potential to hit that many people, you need to make it weaker. Although i think if it was set at 15 then it should not decrease for the other targets it hits. :D

The first number needs to be lowered just a bit... due to the insta-kill factor... but besides that I like the idea of chain lightning.

The 'chain' idea is pretty cool. You just need to adjust the unit, as 24 unblockable power, then 20, then 16, then 12 will bring down an enemy army just like that. But hey, i'd love to have something like this in MY army as it is, but i'd hate to go against one..lol :p

with the damage reduction its less powerful than a DMW.

But since it does have such nice range, the damage is 20, 18, 16, 14

I don't like it because it is too powerful.
Make all the attacks 2-4 less.
Then it will be great

p.s. The first attack should be 4 less.

Make the second part of the chain 2 squares in distance. Otherwise it can basically rape the entire field. Make the power less too. What happens with clusters? Which units get attacked first, etc if there are multiple options. Just stuff to think about...

What are you people talking about? Its a witch with 2 more HP( not cable of dying in 1 hit from a Tyrant ), and LOWER attack. It attacks 24, 20, 16, 12, and the Witch attacks 24, 24, 24, 24. Definitely less powerful than the Witch. I'd raise the health to 32 so it can survive an LWard blow. Other than that its okay. Its balanced and definitely not overpowered. Nice unit.

Yup 32 health... its just a unit idea, nothing real, chill out a bit lol. I do like the unit though. I wish something like this would really get put into the game.

The TAO system may or may not be able to handle it but what if there are two units the exact same distance from the targeted unit, which unit is hit? I like the idea though if it would work.

Hopefully over time they will change how TAO runs. Make it more... ummm AWESOME! Yes, I do think something like this in the future will be put into place in the game. That's just me though. ;)

The thing about power...
Dmw requires the targets to be in line. To do its full damage, you have to have 4 units in a nice little line in front of her. Doesn't happen often. But with chain lightning, there just needs to be a unit somewhat close to the target, which will almost certainly be the case, especially early - midgame, and against turtle tactics. And if the chain gets back to the first target, it's hurt again. Overall, despite the damage reduction, it will still deal a lot more on average than DMW.

that, and added durability makes her last longer than DMW as well, so she has a better chance of using her deadlier attack more.

I havent been able to play Diablo 2 cuz my comp is Fuc... can I say that in here ?
I got 3 characters which are rivalling my idea of perfection... I feel bad cuz I only get to play them one every 2 months :(.
Anyways... if u think about it... its kinda like a pyro... except more damage and looks to be gauranteed to hit 4 units... so I think the initial damage should be as posted about 20 - 18 - 16 - 14. this is a considerable bit more damage than a pyro so we will have giver her some weak movement, turn recovery, and maybe even attack
I say:
3 turn hit recovery, 10% blocking front (none sides) and 25 hit points. but since she deals lightning damage... give her 50% immunity to lightning ward and other sorceresses. And any melee unit that attacks her will recieve 10 lightning damage.
