I was thinking about how I'd like to ask that my clan (which has a membership of one at the moment) be set so that any member can invite. I'm not always on, after all. And to me, the strongest draw of the clan concept is that the matches don't count. Indeed, that's the only part of the clan idea that appeals to me.
I like to play. I don't care if I win or lose, I enjoy watching the pieces reflect the minds of the players.
Asking for a change in the way clans work is more of a programming challenge than I care to propose, because it opens a door that most designers would prefer to keep firmly closed. And the potential for misuse is high (leaving the clan right before you win comes to mind).
Thus, I suggest this: That a player has the ability to completely opt out of all battle statistics. Wins or losses against that person do not change the statistics of their opponents.
What would you call them? I'm thinking "Centaurs" the mythical race that taught the ancient Hellenic heroes.
